It not uncommon for a person who has quit drinking to crave especially chocolate or something sweet. Start exercising and get sweating! Then drink that water. If they are hard, translucent little bumps - chances are it's a form of dermatitus - possibly hormonal. I get them too from time to time and there is no clear trigger. They take a while to go away - several weeks or months. Cortisone cream helps but can dry your hands out. I just let mine run its course.
