The study of matter and how it changes is called what?
The study of matter and how it changes is called chemistry. Chemistry explores the properties and behaviors of substances, as well as the interactions between different types of matter.
How tickle people who aren't ticklish?
If someone is not naturally ticklish, trying to tickle them may not elicit the same response as it would in someone who is ticklish. It's important to respect their boundaries and not force tickling on them if they do not enjoy it. Instead, focus on other forms of affection or playfulness that they do enjoy.
How can creeping eruption harm humans if not treated?
Creeping eruption doesn't harm humans, all it does is form a snakelike tunnel underneath the top layer of your skin and you can see it on top of your skin. The larva dies off in 2-8 weeks which is average, but survival of 55 weeks has been reported. Treatment just makes the larva die off more quickly. But, no it can't harm humans if not treated.
P.S.
If you continuously itch the area where the tunnel like things appear, it can cause bacteria on top of the skin which can lead to a skin dizease.
No, chigger bites are not contagious. Chiggers are tiny larvae of mites that can cause itching and skin irritation when they bite humans. The bites themselves do not spread from person to person.
What type of reproduction do spiders use?
Spiders reproduce sexually, where a male spider transfers sperm to a female spider through specialized reproductive organs. The female then lays eggs which develop into offspring through a process called oviparous development.
How many knees does a spider have?
They have seven segments on each leg, they do not have knees like humans do
Why are there 3 main parts to geography?
If you agree that geography can be defined in these three ways: Physical , Environmental and Economical, then a different language must be used to describe each.
For example, landforms may not have a place in economical geography.
The description you provided matches the markings of a common black-and-white orb-weaver spider, known as the marbled orb-weaver or Araneus marmoreus. This spider is known for its distinctive black orb-like body with a white to creamy stripe running down the back of its abdomen. It is non-aggressive and typically weaves its orb-shaped webs to catch prey.
What if somebodey gets bitten by a funnel web spider?
Funnel-web bites are dangerous and first aid should be given immediately using the pressure bandage/immobilisation technique (as for snake bite) and the victim taken to hospital and given antivenom if necessary. Most ambulance vehicles are also equipped with anti-venom in areas prone to funnel web activity. The venom has a neurotoxin component that attacks the human nervous system and, in the worst cases, can result in death however there have been no recorded fatalities since the introduction of anti-venom.
See http://australianmuseum.net.au/Funnel-web-Spiders-group.
In particular, "The spider (hunting mostly at night) sits just inside the entrance with its front legs on the trip-lines. When a beetle, cockroach, or small skink, typical items of funnel web food, walks across the lines, the spider senses the vibrations and races out to grab its meal. The prey is quickly subdued by an injection of venom from the spider's large fangs. Funnel-web spiders may also forage on the surface in the vicinity of the burrow."
What protein based substance do most spiders produce?
Most spiders produce silk, a protein-based substance that is used to create webs, wrap prey, and construct egg sacs. Silk is a strong and flexible material that is produced by specialized glands in the spider's abdomen.
Hair follicles and sebaceous glands are two examples of skin appendages found in the skin. Hair follicles are responsible for producing hair, while sebaceous glands produce sebum, an oily substance that helps to keep skin moisturized.
What part of the body can you get gangrene?
Gangrene can affect any part of the body where blood flow is restricted, leading to tissue death. It commonly occurs in the extremities such as fingers, toes, arms, and legs. Organs like the intestines can also be affected by a type of gangrene called internal gangrene.
How long can an unfed female black widow live in a glass jar with tiny holes in lid?
An unfed female black widow spider can typically live for several weeks to a few months without a food source, depending on environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity. However, it is not recommended to keep them in a glass jar with tiny holes in the lid as it may not provide adequate ventilation or space for the spider's well-being.

Jumping Spiders is the nickname for an entire family of spiders (the Salticidae) and they occur all over the entire country and world. In North America alone, there are almost 400 species. The species can vary by location, but every location has jumping spiders. For your question, check into the genus Phidippus(maybe google that name and look through images). -Mandy
Your upper body is very fatty and your legs are too skinny why is this?
Some women are just built that way. Usually, women gain weight mostly around their butt and thighs. But for some women it's the opposite: their upper body gains weight while their legs stay thin.
I don't think there's any way to change it. That's just the way your body naturally is.
But you could start working out, which would at least take off the extra weight on your upper body. I would do a lot of cardio exercise (walking, running, biking, rollerblading) to get your weight down. Biking and rollerblading especially will build up your thigh muscles, which can help make your upper body look slimmer.
If you can afford it, I would also join a gym, and do a lot of lower body weight training. Specifically leg presses and glute presses. All of the leg muscle exercises. Women's muscles will not bulk up like a man's, but weight training could help to sort of transfer some of the weight you're carrying from fat in your upper body to muscle in your lower body.
Don't completely neglect your arms muscles, though. Do light weight training on your arms: just a few dozen reps of bicep curls, tricep extensions, and shoulder lifts.
Why is a water strider important to wetlands?
Water striders play a key role in wetland ecosystems by serving as predators to control insect populations, such as mosquitoes. They also help to break down organic matter through feeding activities, contributing to nutrient cycling in the ecosystem. Additionally, they can serve as indicators of water quality, as they are sensitive to pollution and environmental changes.
Is the hit group Mary Jane GIRLS still alive?
Yes they are, Just saw live performance a couple of weeks ago. Still great
Why are there no dangerous spiders in the UK?
There was never any evolutionary pressure, that made more potent venom more advantageous.
Producing more powerful venom has a metabolic 'cost' to the spider, ie, it takes more energy. Because spiders in the UK prey on small insects, stronger venom gives no advantage, it's a waste of energy. Natural selection therefore favours spiders with a less potent, more energy efficient venom.
Up to how long can a spider plant grow?
Spider Plants are no different than any other plants. They will live as long as they have ample sunlight, water and nutrient rich soil. My Great-Great-Great-Great-Great Grandmother planted a spider plant she obtained from a trip to South Africa as a child in the mid 1850's. It was Willed to me by my Grandmother and it's still happy and alive, currently residing in my living room. It's roughly 160 years old, about 3 feet at the base and about 3½ feet tall. It has almost 100 vines and well over 200 baby spiders. Every one of my friends and coworkers has at least 1 or 2 spider plants. We named it "Audrey II" back in the mid 80's.
Are spiders carnivores herbivores or omnivores?
Spiders are carnivores. They do not eat plants, but instead live off of other spiders (cannibalism isn't uncommon in spider behavior), insects, and even (if the spider's web is strong enough) bigger prey, such as mice and birds.
How do most primary producers make their own food?
Most primary producers, such as plants, algae, and some bacteria, use photosynthesis to make their own food. They use sunlight, carbon dioxide, and water to produce glucose (sugar) and oxygen. Some primary producers, like certain bacteria, can also use chemosynthesis where they acquire energy from chemical reactions to make food.
What group of animals are spiders part of?
Spiders belong to the class Arachnida, which includes other arachnids such as scorpions, ticks, and mites. They are distinct from insects, which belong to the class Insecta.
There is no specific species known as a Fern Spider. It is possible that it may refer to a spider that is commonly found near ferns or plants resembling ferns in their habitat. If you are referring to a specific species or genus of spider, please provide more details for accurate information.
What kind of symmetry does an eel have?
Eels have bilateral symmetry. This means they have symmetry across one plane (known as the sagittal plane, and directly down the centre of their body), which means one side of their body approximately mirrors the other side.
