i am having this right now. i am a week late for my period, i took a pregnancy test today because i was feeling a little sick, i got a faint + so i went and bought a better brand & got another faint positive. ive been having period like cramping for about a week now. then a few hrs after i took the tests i started to get some brown blood. i called an 811 # to talk to a nurse & she told me that its very rare to have a false + and that as long as the cramping wasnt severe and the blood doesnt turn bright red with clots & height temp ect then i have nothing major to worry about. but she did infact tell me to see a dct within 48 hours. hope this was helpful

On the 3rd day, my bleeding subsided and on the fourth I had a sonogram where I was told the babies heartbeat had stopped at 8 weeks. I read a huge amounts of posts, books, and talked to numerous people who all had a miscarriage and it seemed that I was alright. I also read so many stories that you can bleed quite a bit, and even clot and still have a healthy baby in the end. I have heard and read at least 100 different scenarios.
Today, my doctor told me that I still have to go through the actual miscarriage and it could be painful and messy but that my body should do it naturally. So, I wait.
I am actually feeling relieved in a small way, I was so concerned and worried for the 5 days. Now I know and my husband and I understand that this happens for good reason. We will just try again later. Hopefully it will not take a 1 year and 1/2 this time because I am 41, I do not have that long.
My advice is to go get the sonogram now, save yourself the worry and just find out the truth.

Hi, i might be 5weeks pregnant though i strongly believe that I'm only 3weeks.. My last period was March 25, 2008 and today is April 28,2008 and I'm having this thick brown spotting, it's mixed up with transparent mucus. Just a little amount of it but after few minutes it became watery and dark red and in greater amount that doesn't appear to be in spot stains anymore.. Anyway, my breasts feel bruised and im having back pains and cramps but the cramps got worse while im bleeding or having the brown spotting.. Is that just a 7 days late period? or it is a clear sign of pregnancy? pls. reply..
