The motor oil to use in a 1982 Yamaha 250 XT 4-stroke dirt bike is a 10-30 or 10-40 weight oil. Castrol GTX Motor Oil that is of this weight is the best oil to use in off road bikes, because it is a cleaner oil. It will not gum up the works of smaller engines like regular motor oil.

To run in a 2 stroke isn't like the scare stories you hear,just go easy for so long,ie: not full throttle!Basically just quarter to half throttle for at least an hour or 2 prob not even as long.there are other ways like riding for 20 mins,stopping to let the piston cool down,then starting again then do the same but I have read that because modern bikes are made so well you only have to run them in for a hour or two.Its all to do with how the piston is formed,back in the day,they were rough so you had to be careful but nowadays the piston is flawless but heat treatment is the way I would go.your first mixture should be 32:1 or near

If the engine is from the same or similar make and model of bike, then chances are the part will fit. Smaller engines are often fairly standard, sometimes across ranges that encompass more than one model. It really comes down to whether this particular bike was designed at the beginning or end of a production run. If yours was one of the first or last of its model built then there's a chance that when the model was re-vamped the engine was also redesigned slightly. This could mean the part is completely incompatible. The only way to know for sure is to offer the part up to the engine. If the bolt-holes marry up and nothing is obstructed then use the new part. If not, go back to the drawing board. Most motor-part factors offer a returns policy of some kind, providing the part is in original condition (you haven't broken it) and packaging, so you won't necessarily be wasting money buying a part that might or might not fit.

Any two stroke 85 is faster than a ttr 125 because it has more torwue and is made for racing. a ttr is a trail bike and not made for speed

If you are asking about premixing your gas, that would depend on what type of oil you will be using for your premix. The oil base stock is either petroleum, semi-synthetic or synthetic oil and is mixed with gas at a ratio ranging from 16:1 (petroleum) to as high as 100:1 (synthetic). I personally ride a 2001 Kawasaki KDX200 that I run Yamalube 2R at 36:1 with no problems. Although synthetics say you can mix them at 100:1 I would not, that seems way too lean to me.
