How do you fix a new gunite pool that was built with the wrong shape?
I am also looking for answers to this situation. My pool was poured today while it rained. The walls in part of the pool collapsed just after they shot the gunite. There are now large sections where the steel is exposed and I am sure those areas are filling up with water. If you can help or give any suggestions please contact me at coronado4@msn.com

If there are chunks that have fallen and void areas, just reshoot those areas. The nice thing about gunite is there are no cold joints when you place new gunite over old gunite.
Of course most guniters charge a setup fee just to show up at the job no matter how large it is, so small shoots are expensive.

Our pool was brown when we first opened it this year, I guess the tarp fell from being too heavy with water, and all the leaves and dirt sitting on it fell in! A complete mess, You can shock it and add chlorine or pool sanitizer its called. But the majority of ours was leaves. So for a week straight i was using a leaf basket scooping leaves out, i was told the shock and chlorine help break them down. Once mostly they are all out you can start to vaccum the dirt up. It takes a while but less mess than drainig your pool i thought! Make sure you dump some algecide in too!

You need to find the rebar tip or usually it is a piece of wire used to tie rebar together. Find this metal and either grind it out of the plaster/gunite or chip it completely out. Then just patch it back up and refill the pool.
