This depends on the circumstances. If you're willing to work on the issues that caused you to split, and try not to make the same mistakes again, then it shows committment, which can lead to a deep love. But if you get back together just because there is nobody else around to date and you don't want to be alone, then it's for convenience. If there is no growth in the relationship, and you keep breaking up only to get back together, it would be better to stay apart, sort out your problems, work out what you really want from a relationship and then start looking for a new one!
