All you need to do is pop off the gray plastic piece that frames the spot lights with a tiny screwdriver or something of the sort. There should be 4 screws laying beneath that plastic piece. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove screws. Replace and hold the mirror with one hand and with the other hand screw the screw back where it came from. Repeat for the other 3 remaining screws. Align plastic cover, pop back in. That's it.

there is none. fortunately you have a timing chain on your car (I also have a '99) and it lasts forever. well, almost forever. I had one on a Toyota pick-up, 1980s vintage. eventually it came through the timing chain cover -- but never broke. it had over 200,000 mies on it at that point. something else killed the tuck, not the timing chain.

You have to remove the bottom rear seat cushion by pulling up and out at the same time, then remove rear seat back by removing 2 bolts that hold it to frame. Rear shelf can be removed to gain access to speakers.

Usually the starter is located on the lower rear of the engine block.

Check the fuses. If they are good, the electroluminescent display has failed. The flourecence may have been affected by temperature change or age.

are you kidding? The correct answer to replace the brake light bulb on a 1996 Toyota Corolla: The bulb needed is type 1157. After openeing the trunk you need to remove the trunk liner on the side (rigth side for this example)where the brake light bulb is out. The plastic capture grommets hold the liner in place. Once the grommets are removed there is a nut (10mm) that is a bright brass-like color. This needs to be removed. Then on the outside of the trunk on the tail-light lens left side there are two nuts black in color (10mm) they need to be removed. Now the fun starts .... you needto slide the whole assembly back. You will note two black plastic posts on the rear quarter-panel, do not remove these ... these are used to hold the tail-light assembly in place since on the inside of the tail light assembly there are two rod-like protrusions that slide into these brackets. So.... remove the screws and wiggle the assembly back and it "should" slde back so that you can get at the bulb socket hat you twist to remove from the assembly. Now the bulb is visible and you reverse the order of steps to get it all back together .... a miserable design!

For instance, I farm and have Murphy switches for irrigation pumps, booster pumps, fertigation pumps, and pivots. Basically, if one system fails, then all of the other components will shut down, to prevent wasting irrigation water and energy and to prevent damage to various components of the system.

On my natural gas motors, I have Murphy switches which will shut down the motor if the oil level gets low, the temperature gets too high, or if the water pressure from the irrigation pump gets too high or low.

Not circuit breaker only fuses in cars that are used. Driver side kick panel 7.5a gauge fuse check it fist.

My Chilton Says 1990 -92 Idle IN Park At Operating Temp Should Be 750, in drive 700, i cant ever seem to make the rpm drop only 50rpms when putting in park, so mine is set to 800, and about 700 in drive

I also have a hard time to change the AC belt (and power staring belt) My friend and I changed the alternator belt of 1995 corolla but still working on the other two belts. Haynes manual says the system around the drivebelts are similar in 1993-1997 models. Here is what we done in 4 hours.


1. Moved away the tank of windshield washer fluid. Using 1/2' wrench.

2. Pushed down a part of the RH engine under cover. (The lower bottom, in front of the front wheel). Don't remember which size of socket for the breaker bar (10mm?), but it was easy.

3. Locating the alternator pivot bolt and the lock bolt was the most difficult (among our successful attempts) task today. Both are located below the alternator (front side) and we are not able to see them. Alternator pivot bolt goes from right (driver's side) to left. I felt it with my left hand (fingers!). (The nut was facing the driver's side.) Then, put only a 12mm socket on the bolt, and placed the breaker bar. After loosened the bolt, located the lock bolt, at the middle-front of the alternator's bottom side (hope you get it) with 12mm socket and breaker bar. (The nut was facing away from the driver's seat.) It took a little while (turned the bar for 20 or 30 times? Maybe more) to loosen up the alternator belt.

4. Unsuccessful attempt to loosen up the compressor drive belt (AC?). Loosened the idle pulley lock nut, with the 14mm (maybe) wrench, not with the breaker bar- not enough space. Idle Pulley Lock Nut is in the middle of a disk, about 2.5' diameter, 1' thick. When you face the side of the alternator (you are standing at the right wheel, facing the left wheel), you see a disk attached to the alternator, and the Idle Pulley Lock Nut lower left. The nut was tight so my friend lightly used the hammer on the wrench.

Cressida was only made from '77 to 80, so you don't have a cressida if it's a 91.

There are no clips...two screws on front...one nut on back...jiggle and pull...

I have the same problem. Normally the horn blows as alarm and it can be reset by locking and unlocking the drivers door with the key. Sometimes I find the ignition disabled fodr no reason and it will not start until it automatically resets itself in 15 or 20 minutes. My mechanic says the theft deterrent system is integral inthe computer and cannot be dis-connected. I think there must be some way to bypass it.

Middle Brake Light:

1. Climb back above the seat in the back, remove the plastic housing surrounding the middle brake light. Pull off backing and replace with IDENTICAL bulb.

Tail Light:

1. Open trunk

2. Find access screws that hold on tail light assembly

3. take off assembly and unscrew bulb

4. replace with IDENTICAL bulb

Before you take advice from the internet PLEASE refer to your manual.

There is no such thing as a timing gauge on a car. Timing is set with a tool called a timing light and a mechanic can do that for you and doesn't cost much money.

Change a starter on a 1988 Toyota Cressida

Most crankshaft pully bolts on European engines turn anti clockwise to undo them.

You need to: - remove the caliper first (two bolts on the backside) - support it with some rope or similar, to take tension off the flexible brake line. - remove the torque plate (bracket that holds the caliper) - also held with two large bolts that attach to the front hub assembly. - remove the rotor. Many times, there could be a significant amount of corrosion that forms around the hub - may take quite a bit of effort to free a stuck rotor, in those cases. A quality penetrating fluid and a couple of whacks with a mallet can help.

There is no PCV valve on your car. They used a system called a dashpot. there is two parts to it . One is the vtv and the other is the dashpot. It is used to prevent run on. Connected to throttle body on drivers side.
