Why do concrete trucks have wheels on top?
The part the wheels are on lowers when they load the truck. The wheels are there so they don't drag it on the ground if they have to move the truck.
Those wheels are actually held down by hydraulic rams when the truck is heavy. The purpose is to bear the extra weight of the concrete, so there is less weight on each wheel. This enables the truck to move on softer ground and many bridges that have an axle weight limit.

What type of motor oil to use in a farmall c tractor?
There are a few things to consider when choosing motor oil for a Farmall C tractor:
• Engine specifications. The most important factor is what oil specifications the engine was designed for and recommends. The owner's manual for the tractor will list the recommended oil viscosity and specifications. For Farmall C tractors, the engine generally calls for heavy-duty oil with either an SAE 30 or SAE 40 viscosity.
• Multigrade oils. Using a multigrade oil, such as SAE 10W-30 or 15W-40, is generally recommended for older tractors as it provides better lubrication in extreme temperatures. The "W" stands for winter, so these oils have better low-temperature performance.
• Mineral vs synthetic oil. Both mineral and synthetic oils can work in Farmall C engines. Synthetic oils offer benefits like better lubrication, higher resistance to breakdown, and wider operating temperature range.
• Additives. Look for oil with detergent and dispersant additives to help clean the engine and keep sludge from forming. Since these engines run dirtier, oils with more additives tend to work best.
• Season. Use a heavier weight oil like SAE 30 in the summer and switch to a 10W or 15W multigrade in the winter for better cold-starts and lubrication.

How do you shift 13 speed transmission?
See related link at the bottom. It's essentially a nine speed, with the option to split the gears on the high side. It's good to have for those times when you're "stuck between gears" - for example, you're pulling a hill, and the gear you're in is a bit low, but if you shift a full gear up, it'll bog down.
How do you secure a steel coil on a trailer?
First, you have to build your coil rack.. it's simply some angled irons and some wood dunnage. You would centre it and have the coil placed on it. Then you run your chains through the eye of the coil... general rule of thumb is minimum one chain for every 5000 lbs.... the first two chains cross each other inside the coil (so that the chain secured on the left front is also secured at the right rear and vice versa), while additional chains are run straight through and both ends are secured on the same sides. You also need steel edge protectors to prevent the chain from actually making contact with the coil, in order to avoid damaging the coil.

How do you wire the Discharge Gates switch on a semi belly dump trailer?
Well, you'd have to know how the trailer is wired, first. There'll be two plugs on the trailer... one, for the regular seven pin pigtail, and the other will be an auxiliary through which your power for the gate controls, hazard recognition lights (if so equipped), etc. will run through.... this one will usually be smaller, and may only be four or five pins, one of those being a ground. You need to figure out which prongs on that connector go to the gate discharge controls. A 12v battery and some jumper wires should help you narrow it down. You connect one end of the wire to your power source, then touch the other end to the prongs, and see what it does. If one pin is larger than the others, that's typically your ground.
How do you get class A commercial CDL licenses?
The best way is just to go to a CDL driving school. Community colleges have them, some companies have their own CDL training programme (Swift, Schneider, C.R. England, etc). Next time you're at a truck stop, you can find various publications for free in the drivers' services area in which trucking companies will place advertisements... the ones which say "No OTR experience required", or something to that effect, are usually the ones who either have their own driving school, have a programme to reimburse driving school costs, or an option of either one.
You can get a permit simply by taking and passing the written tests. All you'd have to do is go to your DMV office, ask for the CDL study guide (they're the same in every state, although each state has their own foreward in their guide), study that, and take the written test. Once you complete and pass the written tests, you can upgrade to a learner's permit for a Class A licence (if you had a Class C licence previously, for example, it would be upgraded to a "CPA" licence). However, it's the remaining portion which prevents you from being able to do the rest on your own. You need to have a vehicle available for the pre-trip portion and the actual driving test (the DMV does not provide vehicles). If you know someone who owns a truck, and is willing to let you train in theirs (a scenario which is rather unlikely), you can do that, but most owner/operators would not, and no company driver is going to get permission from their company to do that, either.
There are age restrictions, as well. While you can get a CDL at 18, you won't be able to drive a commercial vehicle out of your home state until you're 21. You must also be 21 to get a hazardous materials endorsement. On top of that, many companies won't hire you at 21, because their insurance may not cover anyone who is under the age of 23. So before you go about getting your CDL, be sure you'll be eligible to actually find work in that field. CDL driving schools aren't cheap, and it would be a moot point to go through the process of getting one at 18 to 22, just to find out nobody will hire you.
