Can your baby hear you at 8 weeks?

No it can not. The ears develop around week 13 but the fetus reacting to hearing is much later, around week 19-24 depending on how loud.

What is a noise you can hear in a quiet setting that seems to be in rhythm with your heartbeat?

Hi Kc Believe it or not it is your heartbeat! Most of the time we are surrounded by noise so we never really hear our heartbeat most of the time. Also, the heart pulsates blood to various parts of the body and has to work really hard to get it to our brains (thus, that is why we are the way we are. LOL) and you could be hearing the pulsating rush of blood. Nothing to worry about, but very annoying at times. Marcy

What does it mean if there is fluid found outside the pregnancy sac?

It could mean the fluid sac protecting the child has a tear in it or is leaking or that you have fluid in your uterus. You'll have to speak to your MD to find out for certain.

At 6 weeks the seen heartbeat at 8 weeks no heartbeat and blood dropped Scan in 2 days Are you miscarrying?

At sixweeks the heart beat was retrieved. Some ultrasounds can not find the heartbeat of the baby til three or four months into a pregnancy.

Usually when your miscarrying, you will feel abdominal cramping and usually clots of blood. Usually most women miscarry within the first 6 weeks, most woman who pass six weeks have a healthy pregnancy and baby.

If you are concerned talk to your Doctor!

8 weeks pregnant but no baby in the sack is this normal?

Yes, it is normal, and that two-fold.

I.
One in 5 women experience a form of miscarriage called Blighted Ovum. This means, there was an egg and sperm, they fertilized, they implanted, the gestational sac formed, but for some reason the yolk sac did not continue developing. In these cases, Doctors consider this a pregnancy, yes, but it is no longer considered viable. The options I was given were:

a) Wait it out and let your body miscarry, which is fine and natural (not necessarily dangerous but certainly no picnic) and you want to be certain an ectopic pregnancy has been ruled out, or

b) Go ahead and schedule a surgical appointment for a D&C (or D&E) to have the traces of residual pregnancy removed so that your cycle can start again; also so the docs can verify there is no cancer, etc. This is probably the most useful if you want to start trying again right away. (They do recommend you wait 1 - 3 cycles before getting pregnant again, based on your circumstances.)

*HOWEVER* There is something else out there, many consider it a Misdiagnosed Miscarriage. This is what you think it is: there is a baby in there and it is being missed. Even irregular HCG levels can contradict this presence. It's less common than the actual Blighted Ovum scenario, but it has been known to happen, yet it's more often than people think.

Reasons for this can be due to a Tilted, or "Retroverted," Uterus. This can be do to advanced maternal age, and other factors, but because of the angle, it seems the ultrasound cannot reach, and therefore find, the tiny embryo beyond the barrier. You can find out all you need to know about this circumstance at www.misdiagnosedmiscarriage.com. There are plenty of medical links as well. There seem to be several women on there who have waited their Blighted Ovums out (declining the D&C once, some twice) and are now buying clothes and shoes for their child. But there are many others who miscarried and have moved on in their own way.

For me personally, I am waiting it out, as I type to you. I don't know which it will be. Will I miscarry at 40? Will my little Tiger appear? Will I ever get pregnant again? Only the future knows, but for me, I know I am sleeping better at night waiting to see, trying to trust my body's answer, whatever it's going to be. There are parts of me though that want this huge uncertainty to be over, to just go with the mainstream. My Doc is fine, either way it seems, and that's a huge relief to me.

Good luck to you.

Is scanning good for the baby?

Scanning is good for the baby because it is important to know whether it has some abnormalities. Finding out about the baby's gender is only of secondary medical importance.

How could your fetus disappear on the second ultrasound?

either the doctor made a mistake or the fetus died and your body was eliminating it

Could a woman be pregnant if she expierences bleeding and severe cramps not like normal period cramps?

Yes she can be pregnant, and if she is pregnant and is bleeding she is at risk of a miscarriage, and should see a doctor immediately.

Where are pelvic ultrasounds typically performed?

Ultrasound examinations are usually done in a doctor's office, clinic, or hospital setting.

What kind of ultrasound scanners are available?

are available in different configurations, with different scanning features. Portable units, which weigh only a few pounds and can be carried by hand, are available for bedside use, office use, or use outside the hospital

Can you determine father by facial configuration at ultrasound?

No, all babies look more or less the same at birth, never mind on ultrasound. Do you look like your father even now?

Can you spot 2 day after conception?

I'm not to sure about that, but I'm about three days pregnant and was spotting today. I have had five children and this will be my sixth one. From experience I can tell that I am pregnant, as well as tell you that spotting is quite normal at an early stage of pregnancy. If you have severe cramping or even moderate cramping, you should contact your doctor immediately. No sense in taking any chances whatsoever.

Is it possible to be further along in your pregnancy than what your ultrasound says?

When they do an ultrasound, they measure the baby's head and that's how they determine how far along you are. So if your baby's head is smaller than average, then they would give you a farther due date; If it's bigger than average they would give you a closer due date. Please remember your due date is an estimated guess, not the actual date you will absolutely deliver It depends how much the difference is and at what stage you have the ultrasound. At six weeks ultrasounds are accurate to within 2-3 days, by 12 weeks they are accurate to within 4-5 days and by 20 weeks they are only accurate within 5-7 days.

Can a human produce ultrasound?

It's possible that this is the cause of "knowing when someone is staring at you from behind". The eye muscle is the fastest reacting muscle of the whole body, contracting in less than 1/100th of a second.
