No. However, there are adapters that would allow you to replace a floppy drive with an SD card reader. Why new USB flash drive not have enough room to store the first file you attempted to store on it?

I rile on analogy to teach this so here we go...

Your USB Flash Drive is like a blank Diary or Journal.

you bought one that is 30 pages long, good for one month.

now you try to add all the appointments for the year in the journal and find that it is not big enough to hold the entire year of 365 days one on each page.

the file you are loading is the calendar you are trying to enter into your journal.

Please note that this is a simplistic answer and due to many possible technical things may not be the actual problem you are experiancing, however it is very likely to be correct if the file is very large and the memory stick capacity is small say a 2 meg stick and a 20 meg file...

hope this helps.

How big can usb sticks get?

64GB is the largest at the moment, but there are no hardware limitations - you could see flash memory sticks with a few hundred Gig capacity in the future. How do you install window xp by pen-drive?

Well first off you need a pen drive that has enough space to hold the entire install disk then you will need to set your bios to boot from whatever drive letter your pen drive will be plugged into. Double click on your my computer icon with your pen drive plugged in and check the drive letter it was assigned, that will be the letter you will have to change your boot up drive to in your bios. I would be sure to keep your CD drive as at least the second boot up drive just in case you run into any other problems.

I have personally never tried this and wouldn't recommend it because I am concerned that when you wipe the hard drive to install the new operating system you will most likely lose the driver that controls your usb ports and the pen drive wont work.

If at all possible i would use the CD to install your operating system!
