This is actually a good question as many people with this condition do often suffer sever denial.

• Profundity and renewal of hair.

Actually, there's only one type of vampire and that's the type that drinks blood. Ignore the crap about sanguin and psy vamps. Here is the real deal: there are 4 types of vampires. ; Demon-Vampires : These are both humanoid demons, with concomitant magickal abilities, and vampires, requiring human blood to live. The magickal abilities and limitations of each Demon-Vampire are unique to that individual. Generally, Demon-Vampires are created directly by the Elder Demons, or Old Ones, setting a deep curse on some human. Demon-Vampires are usually the founders of a vampire lineage; however, the vampires of that lineage do not have the same powerful abilities as their progenitor. Lillith is the first Demon-Vampire and probably the most powerful. She is the Queen of the Vampires, the progenitor of all Lilith-vampires. Her demonic abilities include raining down the plagues (fire, hail, locusts, frogs, and so forth). She can also transform into an owl form. She has an especially strong connection to magick, so she has innumerable other tricks. In addition, as the First Vampire she commands the loyalty of all vampires, considering all of them, even those of other lineages, under her authority. The other lineages may object, but they still have to face her power and wrath. Kern, Lillith's son whom she thought was dead, is another Demon-Vampire, resurrected by the same Elder Demons that cursed her. His powers are limited to the "classic" Lilith-vampire style, including being able to operate as a practitioner. However, his special exception is that he is immortal and cannot die in any way: his unlife will persist to the end of time. He is the progenitor of the Nosferatu, a somewhat bestial and vulnerable lineage. Kern himself, however, is intelligent, has wizard-level spell-casting abilities, and hates his mother with a passion. ; Lilith-Vampires : Those vampires sired by Lillith are the original variety, appearing first in antiquity. They have a connection to magick, but do not have the special abilities of Lillith. Lilith-vampires can take up the Craft and often do, but their real power is that they are incredibly hard to kill. These vampires are more reminiscent of those found in traditional folklore. They are not really evil, but their self-centred motivations do sometimes give that impression. ; Tepes-Vampires : When Vlad Dracula Tepes rose as a vampire in 1476 CE, he was the first of a new lineage. This was verified when he spent some time in the society of Lilith-vampires. All Tepes-vampires, from Dracula to those he sired to those they sired, cannot gaze upon or touch Holy objects. Holy water, blessed by a priest, can hurt them. Tepes-vampires have a dark magick all their own that comes from their progenitor Dracula himself. This gives them the ability to ride on a moonbeam, turn into mist, and change form becoming a wolf or large bat. Tepes-vampires also can use normal magick, but only in a negative manner. They treat everything as a conquest using manipulation and scheming to gain what they desire. Even if a desire is simple and intentionally harmless the Tepes-vampire will still scheme to get it. They are like wolves hunting prey, plotting the strike and enjoying their victory. The older they get the more pronounced this desire for conquest becomes. Therefore a recently-sired Tepes-vampire may not exhibit these traits right away, especially if it is untutored, a common problem among Tepes-vampires. Also Tepes-vampires must slowly come into their dark magick, developing it over time. It can take as much as twenty-five years to begin using the major tricks. Tepes-vampires who use magick will generally not exhibit practitioner traits as a morph or Lilith-vampire will. Instead, spells cast to do good will simply fail for no apparent reason, while spells with selfish or evil intent will succeed as if the vampire were a grand wizard. They are a bit easier to kill than Lilith-vampires. They can be paralysed with fear by Holy objects, thereby rendering them helpless. Then they can be disposed of at one's leisure. It is said that the reason for all of this is that God cursed Dracula into becoming a vampire. Tepes-vampires are evil with a purpose: their intent is to destroy anything having to do with God, whether it be Christian or otherwise. Their "evil" is connected with religion and religious symbolism. For those interested in minutiae, since "Tepes" is a Romanian word it is pronounced as "Tep-esh". ; Nosferatu : In 1892 CE, Kern appeared on earth for the first time since his death. He cannot be killed in any way, but those vampires he sired, the entire lineage, are not as lucky. Nosferatu cannot stand being in the sun at all. Once bathed in sunlight they burst into flames and burn until consumed. They are also, of all vampires, the easiest to kill: simply staking them, beheading them, or setting them on fire seems to do the trick. Nosferatu vampires do not act very intelligent. They seem to be more beast than humanoid. They do not tend to practice the Craft. The Nosferatu acquired their name soon after F.W. Murnau's film of the same name came out in 1922. This is in part due to the physical appearance of Nosferatu, which is somewhat similar to Murnau's depiction. While other vampires tend to continue their undead existence with much the same physical appearance as the person had in life, Nosferatu rise in a rather grotesque form which cannot be mistaken for a living human under most circumstances. It seems that a Nosferatu will follow any sufficiently powerful master. Tepes-vampires often used them as henchman or cannon-fodder. ----- All creatures that steal life-force can be call a vampire. This covers a wide range of beings.

* Psychic vampires: creatures capable stealing life-energy directly.

* 1. Incubus - A male spirit that steals life-energy from women via an erotic dream. * 2. Succubus - A female spirit that steals life-energy from men via an erotic dream. * Both the incubus and Succubus seem to lack a (totally) solid body and their physical reality has to be sustained by some external object. On one episode of Night-Stalker this was an ancient tablet carved with runes and incantations. * 3. Disembodies Mists or Auras - Star Trek (original series) has featured several such tenuous creatures (that will exist in the future) that had the ability to suck life from its victims. One such was the spirit of Jack the Ripper. Another was the collected population of a destroyed planet. Another fed on the rage generated by humans and Klingons - not sure if this qualifies it as a vampire but it did deplete (indirectly) the life of a few people (and klingons).

* 4. Psychic vampire with a body - This might seem to be the ultimate condition for a vampire to achieve however, any such creature that I have read about had loads of quirks and problems as well. See 'The Shunned House' by Edgar Allan Poe. * 5. Rogue - From the X-men. She has the power to absorb the powers of other mutants to be her own for a while, and in the process of doing so leaves her victims severely depleted, unconscious (and even comatose in one case that I know of.) We may not like to think of her as a vampire but y'know 'if the shoe fits...'. * 6. Saiyans - From the planet Vejita, of the anime Dragon Ball Z. The spirit bomb must be gathered from all living things.

* Classical Vampires: creature that need to steal life-force in concert with a physical medium. * 7. Blood Suckers - Need to steal blood in order to steal life-force. This may include a whole assortment of types dependent of their means of blood-getting. The true classical vampire gets its blood orally often using fangs to initiate bleeding. In the movie 'Rabid' the girl had a syringe type organ that came out of her arm-pit.

* 8. Lipid Suckers - Fox Muldor (from the X-files) came across one person who stold fat (instead of blood) from his victims - to much the same results. It wasn't stated definitely that he stold life-force along with the fat but he did start to deteriorate when he was denied of his sources - suspiciously like a vampire. * 9. Full Body suckers - Nothing subtle about these guys. Just take the whole thing. Usually they have grossly modified physiques to accomplish the un-worthy task set before them. The only thing that separates these guys form ordinary predators is that they gain life-force in addition to the nourishment and tend to assimilate characteristic of their victims. The Parasite of DC comics is one such full-bodied vampire.

* 10. Renfield - He only ate insects, birds and small mammals and may not have been a real vampire at all, only the deluded pawn of Count Dracula - but then the Count did tell him he would gain the life-force of the creatures that he ate, so we include him here for completeness sake. * 11. Courtesean Philippia - Preyed on handsome and intelligent young men she lured to her salon. Requried them to 'go all the way' to satisfy her. (If you know what I mean). Her victims were 'very very tired' after being with her and suffered a loss of a part of their talents as well. She was said to remain very handsome into a advanced old-age and no one ever knew when she died. Soooooo..... * Inactive Vampires: Capable of stealing life-force but not required to do so. * 12. Dhampir - Either the child of a Vampire father or the infected victim of a vampire, before they die. These are people with the ability to become vampires. As they currently have a means of living (not livelihood) they have no need to employ their vampiritic abilities or are unaware of them. When Count Dracula infected Mina (Wilhelmina Harker) with his blood she became a Dhampir until her immunity defense system over-came 'the curse'. * Galaticus: In a class by himself. This mega-monster doesn't steal life-force from living things but rather steals it lump sum from the entire planet. The home planet of the Skrulls met its fate in this way. And also Jiang Shi-they are chinese vampires,when they cross a pile of rice they must count it before going any futher,they also afraid of a specific type of rice,they cannot go into sun light or cross rivers/bodies of waters they bite on the neck or anywhere else where blood is

they can live for up to 4000 years. However, few actually do, because a vampire's life is very physically rough.

Vampires are actually thought as being immortal.

However, it has never been proved that vampires live longer than normal people.

I always thought vampires were immortal. But after many many many thousands of years their bodies change slightly. hair loses color etc. Vampire bats however do not live as long as actual vampires .... unless a vampire actually bit them and they became a vampiric vampire bat :)

It will turn into a werewolf fully and cant turn back into a person.

OR... Vampwolf! A Werewolf that can fly, turns back into a vampire during non-full-moon nights (and days) drinks your blood, and if it drinks your blood, you become a rather lupine vampire, but if it bites you and doesn't suck your blood, you become another Vampwolf.
