Go in trunk; remove 4 screws from the pump cover (2 at either bottom corner, 2 at top close together) and remove that. There is a gold coloured nut sitting atop the now visible reservoir. Unscrew that. You can now top up the reservoir VERY slowly (use a small funnel otherwise the hydraulic oil will get everywhere) and reverse process when done. Only 5 minute job. THIS IS FOR A MK3 (93-98) I think its same for other models too, certainly MK4's.

If you look at the second post the guy says where it's located on his mk4 golf. !
Ok, I have an active dealer code figured out. You're going to need to take a pen and paper with you out to the car.
1) Go out to your car, and put the key to the 'on' position (not run). When the radio turns on, press and hold #2 and #3. After about ten seconds, three numbers will appear on the screen. Take your time and write these down.
2) After you have the first three numbers, press and release the AM/FM button. Three more numbers will appear on the screen. Write these down.
3) With your new-found 6-digit code, go inside and call 1-800-537-5140. It's just an electronic answering machine. Once the guy finishes talking, press 202108, followed by the *Asterisk* button (not pound).
4) He'll then tell you to enter in your 4- or 6-digit code, followed by the star/asterisk again. So, type in the numbers you got out of your radio, and hit star/asterisk.
5) He'll then tell you your 4-digit unlock code. Write it down.
1) Unscrew the centre console. The 2 screws for this are in that little storage box thing behind the handbrake but you will need to remove thal little piece of carpet at the bottom of the box to get to them.
2) Remove the plastic panel around the gear shifter. In an auto you do this by taking out the ash tray (easy). Then you can just pull the plastic panel off but it requires a bit of force.. This will reveal three screws which you can now take off.
3) Open the glove box on the passenger side and the panel under the steering wheel in the drivers side (the one with all the fuses in it). This will reveal three screws on each side of the console which you can now undo.
4) Remove the plastic bit surrounding the stereo. This is not screwed in but it needs a bit of force to remove.
5) Take out heater controls. There is one black screw holding this in so undo that. The dial thing which controls the temperature has a long metal rod which you have to undo. At the end of it. The end of it is right under the dash in drivers side and you can unclip it but its fidely and hard to reach. with the heater noe out you will see a few more screws so undo them all.
6) You can now take off the rest of the console which is in the way of the stereo. Unscrew the bracket holding the stereo in and take it out
You can reset the interval service by your self. If you wants I can send the explanation to you.

It could be that the oil pressure switch has failed and caused the oil lamp to come on,this is common and easy to fix.Initially though, check the oil level, and if low, top it up to max. You don't state what car or engine but the lamp means low oil pressure and a big bill if you continue to drive without investigation. Some cars when servicing is poor, will by-pass a blocking oil filter and trigger a warning, you may just need an oil and filter change?
How I programmed the control remote to my 1998 VolksWagen Golf:
There is a video that explains the procedure, I posted the link below and also wrote the steps right after the link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MsFEz67KXiM&feature=related
1.-You need two keys, if you only have one key then you can go to the dealership and pay close to $20 for one with the Volkswagen logo or less than $2 for a generic one.
2.-Take the control remote that you want to program (I have three controls in total). With one of the keys turn the car on without turning the engine on, just so the radio works.
3.-Then, introduce the second key in the driver's door and turn it all the way to the LEFT and hold it there until there are two beeps (about 10 seconds.)
4.-Then press a button on the remote control, press any of the buttons or keys.
To test the remote remember to remove the key in the ignition key.
I had the other two remotes in my pocket and they were all programmed at the same time. Also, one of the toggle keys in one of my remotes was not working, so I opened it and saw that the button to open the trunk was broken off, so I soldered it to the board and now it is like new.
==============================
I feel that is very fair business practice that if I buy a remote from the dealership the programming would be included, and that if I take my control to them to be reprogrammed they would do it for free with the hope that I will gain trust on their fairness and come back to do my work with them. Right now I will avoid their service unless absolutely necessary, and will share my experience with all my e-mail and Facebook contacts.
So the moral of my story . . . is to be wary of the mechanical services at the dealership.
I bought a touran and it has 77,000 miles on it with no record of timing belt do I need to get this done soon
I believe you will find it has a chain instead of a belt. You did not list the year so I cannot say for sure.
if i turn the key and all i hear is click- click- click real fast, is that mean i need a new starter?
Take it to A shop if you are not familiar with mechanical repairs, It sounds like you may have A bad wheel bearing.
How to install thermostat in a 1994 volkswagen golf?
Smoke from the vents can indicate a problem with the brushes in the interior blower motor. It may also be a symptom of the vehicle being on fire in which case evacuation and retreat to a safe distance is advisable.
from recent experience of a few 2.0 AGG engines, you should get between 18 and 25 around town, 25 and 40mpg motorway, dont believe WHICH or GLASSES figures as they are incorrect and just an average!
lower control arm is where the camber and caster adjustment is. you cannot change camber without changing caster. the vehicle has to be aligned. to answer the ? the front bolt on lower control arm. to raise pull under to lower slide out
My MX6 was just doing this on the way home. If I stepped on the gas, braked, or turned it would stop. The frequency of the knocking noise would increase with the speed, but seemed louder the slower I was going. The brakes were just done last week. Anyway, in my case the wheel lug nuts were loose, I could just unscrew them by hand! I will be calling the garage tomorrow to let them know.
The oil pressure will depend on the condition of the engine. If you have 10 lbs at idle when engine is hot with this mileage, you are within specs. I would use 10W-30 oil. oil pressure of 10lbs and up is acceptable at hot idle. i like to use havoline 30wt oil. have never had a problem with it.
it could be that the fuel isn't coming up due to it all draining back to the tank and if you are trying to start it with the 5 year old fuel in it then the fuel could be dead so try draining it and put fresh in,and if the fuel side of it is ok then check for spark.
