How do you get a piece of your audio jack out of your computer?
If a piece of the 1/8" plug has broken off inside your computer (usually from tripping over the cord), you will have to try to fish the piece out of the audio output with a very sharp, fine drill bit. You can also see if you can get at the back side of the jack from inside the computer. If not, you will have to replace your sound card, or motherboard if the sound system is on the main board.

What does Ctrl O beside the Open option on the File menu represent?
It is a feature of graphical user interface (GUI) programs known as an accelerator. When a user holds Ctrl while pressing "o," the system will send an accelerator message to the application, which in this case is mapped to the "File > Open" dialog. When using accelerators, the meta keys (Ctrl, Shift, Alt, Command, etc) key must be held down before pressing the non-meta key assigned to the accelerator, which is usually a letter, number, function key, punctuation, or white space (space bar, tab, or Enter/Return). The order in which the meta keys are held is irrelevant. For example, if an accelerator is Ctrl-Alt-Backspace, the user may hold Ctrl or Alt first, then the remaining meta-key next, and finally press the third key (Backspace). The only thing that matters for determining an accelerator combination are the meta keys that are currently held when the user presses a non-meta key.

You need a USB 2.0 PCI card for a PC or a USB 2.0 PCMCIA card for a laptop. (Must be USB 2.0 or better)
You can get them from any good computer parts supplier or outlet like PCWORLD or online at places like www.ebuyer.com
Make sure you have a spare PCI slot in your PC.
Insert the card, install the drivers if required (Drivers are on a CD supplied with the card if required).
Many laptops have HI-SPEED USB2 compliant hardware, but often driver problems cause the error "HI-SPEED USB Device Attached To non-HI-SPEED Hub".
This is not easy to fix (I'm still fighting it myself) but supposedly some of these websites can help:
