It is more like 50% - my boyfriend's sentence got put down to a misdemeanor - they took off 50%, but nothing has changed.. also expect lots of changing dorms/rooms and accidental misplacement into more of the intense lockdown parts of the jail... be ready for anything and stay humble, that way you will just serve half your sentence, hopefully - hope that helps - the 3-10 day rumor is just that...

I don't know how old you are. I know Dairy Queen allows 15 year olds to work. HEB hires 16 year olds. If you are younger you may consider a family run business somewhere. Or a small job such as a cart boy at a golf course or picking up trash and mowing lawns and such..

Usually those convicted of minor, non-violent, misdemeanor offenses - who already hold a steady job - and need the continued income to be earned to support their families. Obviously, there can be exceptions to this - but those are the general qualifications.
