Work Release

Some prisons have programs that allow a prisoner who is sufficiently trusted or can be sufficiently monitored to leave confinement in order to work. This allows them to continue to provide for their families or compensate victims.

they get depressed even suicidal

---

Many people go through a bereavement process. They feel isolated, self worth and confidence can drop sharply. Many report becoming demotivated and feel they have lost self respect. Financial issues can occur as weekly bills still occur but with little or no income this can cause difficulties not just for the unemployed person but the immediate family unit as well.

Why do people complain so much?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Because they are dissatisfied. Human beings generally complain -- or make their dissatisfaction known in a verbal manner -- when they feel dissatisfied with:

  • life in general
  • a job or employer
  • the amount of money they earn
  • the state of their relationships or home life

Humans also voice dissatisfaction when they feel they:

  • are being treated unjustly or unfairly
  • are burdened with more work than another person (including a live-in partner or spouse)
  • feel stressed or are experiencing pressures
  • lack the money or ability to change their situations in a meaningful way.

Other people complain about their circumstances, despite the fact that they have enough money, adequate housing and transportation, good family support, a thorough education with a good salary at a great job, and seem to have "every advantage" in life. Psychologists say that people with these circumstances may have feelings of "entitlement" that makes them believe they are "owed" more in life. Nothing feels meaningful or satisfactory, no matter how much advantage they have. In some cases, underlying depression can be behind this thinking. Or, sometimes, people who feel entitled lack empathy-- they cannot put themselves in other people's shoes and thus, feel grateful for what they do have.

Do you have to pay bail bond after you are sentenced?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

A bail bond is an insurance policy purchased to guarantee the appearance of a defendant in court. Once the defendant has been sentenced, the trial is over and any bail bonds are generally "exonerated" by the court, meaning that the insurance company is no longer responsible for guaranteeing the defendant's appearance. The only reason to get a bail bond after sentencing would be if the case was on appeal, and the defendant was trying to stay out of jail while the appeal is pending.

That said, if you still owe the bail bondsman money, by all means YES! You need to pay the bondsman's fee (called the premium).

Is it possible to pay a fine or do community service instead of jail time?

User Avatar

Asked by Wanda228

That may be possible. You must appear at your court date and request it. The judge will decide whether to allow it. Many will, especially if you have extreme financial difficulties. Some courts will not allow it under any circumstances. Depending on the court, you may have to pay a processing or supervision fee while you are performing your community service, and you may have to be on probation.

What is the sentence serving time in Sacramento county jail?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

It is more like 50% - my boyfriend's sentence got put down to a misdemeanor - they took off 50%, but nothing has changed.. also expect lots of changing dorms/rooms and accidental misplacement into more of the intense lockdown parts of the jail... be ready for anything and stay humble, that way you will just serve half your sentence, hopefully - hope that helps - the 3-10 day rumor is just that...

What items can you send an Inmate in Jail?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

You can order items online for inmates at www.konmart.com

Or www.mycarepack.com

Inmates in Texas prisons can receive writing supplies and books shipped directly from venders. At the time of this writing, April 2010, no colored papers, markers of any type including pens, pencils, or crayons. Additional banned materials include: tablets or books with staples or spiral wire binding, graphic pictures of sex with violence, no books with pictures sex organs or breast nipples. The mailrooms have lists of books which are not allowed because they contain banned material including scenes of rape, incest, bomb making instructions, sex with children, racial slurs, or are deemed to promote unrest or violence in prisons. The list of these books are not available to inmates, their families or to bookstores. This writer has been told that these lists are not computerized, the mailrooms must check every book against a printed list.

Supplies and books for inmates in Texas county jails are subject to the limits imposed by that county, and seem to be subject to change without notice or recourse.
