Well, writing a news report- say, for an article or a magazine- is usually factual without belaying opinions. You have to cut straight to the point in a way to entertain and keep you readers.

Technical is a vague word to describe it. From what I understand it would be similar to a news article or an essay, perhaps. It might have a certain structure.

Literary is also vague but something easier to explain. There is, of course, poetry and story, mostly. In poetry you have all different types and in story there's fiction and non-fiction; it branches out from there. In literary you can have an easier flow, more breathing room, and can take liberties on your own style and what you do as long as you follow rules involved for that type of writing, otherwise it doesn't work.

drawing a line underneath something when you put one straight line under something... usually something u want to be noticed such as if you were telling someone you loved them you could go... I love you ---- you would do this so the person could see that you really mean it!

Saying it is more effective then writing it because it shows you have courage and that you are not scared of the person you are talking to and also research shows that over 70,973,287 people write notes to friends, enemies or lovers through a relation ship or hate. also a survey says that 15% of 2,194 people questioned had been dumped via text message or email. those are my reasons why saying it is more effective than writing it.

There is no rule of grammar that prohibits the use of the word 'and' more than once in a sentence.

There are four basic meanings for the word 'is' in the English language:


(1) Existence: "Socrates is."


(2) Identity: "Mark Twain is Samuel Clemmens"


(3) Predication: "Socrates is wise" or "Socrates is thinking."


(4) General implication (inclusion)/Categorical: "Socrates is a man" or "Man is an animal."


Knowing these four different ways of using the word 'is,' you can vary your sentence structure to avoid 'is' if you feel so inclined.


For example, if you are using "the is of existence," you could say "Socrates exists" instead of "Socrates is." If you are using "the is of predication," you could say "Socrates has wisdom" instead of "Socrates is wise."


There really aren't true replacement words for the 'is,' however, in the sense that 'angry' can mean the same thing as 'mad.' If you are worried that your sentences sound repetitive, you should consider varying your sentence structure in general. Don't go through great lengths to avoid the word 'is.'

That is up to you, the essayist. The essay is your voice, telling your perspective.

Now, that having been said, the concluding paragraph of ALL essays archetypically begins with a restatement (rewording) of the thesis statement. In the conclusion, you are summing up your essay, stating why the points you made previously are the best, most correct, cogent points.

A good introduction to a paper is probably a quote that has something to do with your essay. Then next say "I agree with this statement and that is why........." I usually call these quotes Grabbers. I usually also finnish off the essay by repeating the quote and saying what I think about it. I also call this the Grabber Bang. I hope this helped :)
