It shouldn't be so because imagination and creativity are used in both cases because in writing you're describing a situation from start to finish with words whereas in mathematics you're describing a situation from start to finish with symbols.
Should you be ashamed of yourself for being good at mathematics?
Of course not, mathematics is a very useful ability for future careers.
Writing is a mixture of creativity and structure, blending imaginative expression with established conventions of language and grammar. It involves the generation of ideas, the organization of thoughts, and the use of various techniques to engage the reader. Additionally, writing can reflect personal voice and style while adhering to the specific requirements of different genres or formats. Ultimately, it is both an art and a skill that requires practice and refinement.

How do you write a poem for my grandpa's funeral?
I'm really sorry that you lost your grandpa. Here is a model poem that you really can't use as your own, but maybe you can use it as an inspiration. It was found on-line.
Tomorrow is his memorial church mass and he's always been a fan of my poetry that I write, I decided to write him one last poem to read during his service. I'm nervous, but he deserves this. Let me know what you think:
God gently took your hand, and whispered, "Come with me.
Your work on Earth is over, it's time to set you free.
Don't worry about your family, for they will be okay.
They have such happy memories, that they'll remember every day."
"You've made such a difference, you've always touched a life.
You had 2 beautiful daughters, and a very loving wife.
Your grandchildren really loved you, you were a hero in their eyes.
They got the chance to kiss you once more, they sadly said their goodbyes."
"Even though it's hard to let you go, they know it was for the best.
I don't give them anything they can't handle, their grief will be put to rest."
"You had 4 great grandchildren, who loved you very much.
They will forever remember their Nanu, his kisses and his touch.
They loved to talk to you on the phone, they loved to hear you sing,
they always got excited, whenever the phone would ring."
"It may be hard to deal with the fact, that their beloved passed away.
But they will find peace in knowing, that you'll be reunited again some day."

A model is never wrong; it is merely more or less useful. In celestial navigation we continue to use the geocentric model of the Sun, Moon, stars and planets, because it makes the mathematical calculations much easier. (I spent 3 years teaching celestial navigation for the U.S. Air Force's Interservice Navigator Training School at Mather AFB, Sacramento, CA.)
For anything beyond low-earth-orbit, the geocentric model does not represent reality in any meaningful way, and is not useful.

How do you make a memoir for geography class?
A memoir is literally the story of the person writing. Being that this memoir is for a geography class, it should be the story about where you have lived, or where you have been. Write about the place you have lived and visited. Describe it through stories of those places.
This may seem difficult, but it is far easier than you might believe. Try this: tell it to a recording device. Act like you are telling a story of somewhere you've lived to friends. Or, better yet, tell your story to friends and record it. Then play it back and write down what you said.
