What are some good ideas for spy movie plots?

Any idea that is interesting enough to you will be a good idea. You cannot write a story or novel based on ideas that someone else invents - you won't be interested enough in the subject to be able to research and write anything that will actually sell. Plus, anonymous people on the internet have no idea how old you are, what your interests are, or how well you can write!

In order to write, you need a personal connection to the subject. Write about whatever you enjoy, or whatever you find interesting, and you will end up with your novel or story.

WikiAnswers is happy to help you learn how to write better. We will not do your writing for you by giving you ideas and paragraphs to copy.

Here are some more suggestions from WikiAnswers contributors:

• Write about what you know. A good idea for a first novel is to write your own personal story. Everyone has at least one novel in them waiting to be written.

Observe the world around you. Anything interesting can be an idea for a story or novel.

Research. The more you know, the more ideas you will have.

Read stories and books that other authors have written in your chosen genre. This way, you can see how other people do things.

A story can be either plot driven, character driven, or both. Most are stories are both but one or the other usually takes precedence. Charles Dickens' novels are primarily character driven Ian Flemings' are plot driven (although all the plots are the same.) If you need a place to start - trying thinking up interesting characters who can be developed and evolved against an interesting plot, or think up a good crisis that characters can be illuminated through.

What is the best way to write a summary of the plot of a story?

One of the best ways to figure out the plot of the story is to go in sequences--in other words, use a cause and effect sheet. If you want to improve upon this, you can even go so far as to write short summaries of significant sections of the story which you are working on. However, this method does not work for everyone. Try it for yourself and see how you like it, and then try to come up with your own ways. Everyone has their own comfort zone with this, so there is a bit of wiggle room--keep trying things. You'll figure out what you like the best eventually.

How does the setting of a story help people understand the story?

The setting helps the reader understand the story by allowing the reader to create a clearer picture in their mind. With a clear picture, readers can more easily relate to what the characters are feeling, identify the tone of the story, and make better inferences and predictions.

You should probably add your own ideas to this too to get a solid Level 4.

What was the plot of the play blood brothers?

The plot centres on twins that were separated at birth. As the play progresses we see the two boys become less and less alike as they once were. The Play starts with another of the protagonists singing about the life she once had with her husband who recently left her. She tells of how they married young after he got her pregnant and how the proceeded to have seven children before he left. She was however pregnant by him just before he left. This woman (Mrs Johnstone) works for a rich Mrs Lyons (one of the main antagonists) and her husband who is away with work. Mrs Lyons is unable to have children of her own and thus asks Mrs Johnstone to give one of the babies to her, she promises it will have a good life and that she can see it any time she wants.

Mrs Johnstone proceeds to give the baby away after swearing on the bible that the two babies will never know of the truth or they will both die, This scares Mrs Johnstone into giving the baby away and soon after fires her giving the excuse that her work has deteriorated.

The play then skips to when the two boys are seven (nearly eight) and they meet for the first time since the separation. They become firm friends with them then cutting each others hands and becoming Blood brothers. They lose touch when Mrs Lyons decides to move the family to the countryside.

The Johnstone's are then notified that they are moving due to their street being knocked down. They are given a new house on the outskirts of the city near the countryside.

Act 2 begins 6 years later, the Johnstone family and the Lyons family have grown to forget each other even though they live fairly close. The act begins with Mrs Johnstone singing "Marilyn Monroe" with a change of verse detailing how she has lost weight, is seeing Joe the Milkman and is living a happy life. It then switches to Edward being taught how to dance and complaining how he never meets any girls at his boarding school (which he is soon returning to). We then see Mickey and Linda on their way to get the bus with Sammy catching up with them. He (Sammy) promptly threatens the Bus conductor with a knife when he refuses to give him a discount on one of the fares. This shows Sammy has an aggressive side that he is willing to use. Edward, Mickey and Linda all get suspended from their respective schools meet up on a hill; their Edward gives Mickey advice on how to talk to her (not fully understanding what he is saying). Mrs Lyons confronts Mrs Johnstone because she believes that she is following her and will always be trying to steal Edward back Mrs Lyons lashes out with a knife and is stopped by Mrs Johnstone. The trio grow up becoming good friends and when they reach 18 Edward moves away to university expecting a party when he returns at Christmas, however when he does return he finds out that Mickey and Linda are married, she is pregnant and Mickey is on the dole. Mickey lashes out at him because of how Eddie got everything in life whilst he was left with scraps. Sammy offers Mickey work for 50 pounds in one hour (robbing a bank), Mickey accepts and the robbery is unsuccessful. Mickey ends up going to jail whilst Linda is left alone to care for the baby. As the years in prison go by Mickey is given tablets that he has to take because he is severely depressed. When Mickey he is let out he is given a job (little does he know he was helped by Edward), he decides to stop taking the pills after Linda continues to ask him but not before Mrs Lyons shows Mickey Edward and Linda embracing. He charges through the town with a gun and goes to shoot Eddie with Mrs Johnstone and Linda hot on his tail. Mrs Johnstone reveals to the Twins that they are twins, Mickey waves his gun at Eddie and accidently shoots him. This allows the police to shoot him killing them both. The play ends with the living characters singing, "Tell Me it's not true".
