5) Rate cut in Europe and US is also a factor in depreciation of these currencies against the yen

Assuming its not a start up, ignore traditional marketing approaches, focus on first your current customers and second your staff. Both groups can provide effective advertising for your firm and products. Give all your staff training in marketing and train them all as sales staff. Likewise your customers: don't go the classic market surveying of your custmers if you need info from them reward them for that info, the reward can be a discount, petrol vouchers or such like but don't ask them to give you info for free there is just so many marketers out there taking info for free and irritating people that a fresh respectful approach will work wonders. Secondly have your own staff ( the workers not the management) analyse the results of and info gathering exercise, the work they do in collating and reporting on the results will give them a real feel for what is happening. They may well change their behaviour from the "factory floor with out the old Office down mentality. Consultants give you a summary but not the instinctive understanding of the results that can help your staff make your product more popular and customer oriented.
