This book shows you the basics of colored pencil form buying them, choosing your paper, a working model for a studio and the step by step of working with colored pencils, and techniques of achieving various effects.

This an excellent book for someone wanting to learn portrait drawing. Some of the work is quite advanced, but the book is a great reference for use with other subjects as well. It has good information on working from photographs.
All of these books are great for helping you to learn a new medium. Coloured pencils are an excellent and very portable choice to work with, however, if you are just starting out, I recommend you find a few books on the basic principals of drawing and practice, practice, practice.

Why does the ink flow out of the fountain pen when the plane slowly gains height?
Pressure.
That's the short answer.
Back when people used fountain pens as a matter of course, aeroplane cabins had variable pressure throughout the flight. Pens, shampoos, potato chip bags, etc. expand, pop, or leak at high altitudes is because of low air pressure.
The air inside a sealed container holds the pressure of the environment when it was closed. If this container travels up, to Denver or up in an aeroplane, the air pressure --barometric pressure-- of the environment becomes lower than it was closer to sea level. The container expands in dimensions or leaks in an attempt to equalize the pressure.
These days people use ball point pens and they're pens don't leak. ;)
Actually, these days commercial aeroplanes have better seals and climate control systems. However bleeding fountain pens may still be a problem because the pressure during the flight will decrease to that of a mountain city.
According the Boeing (plane manufacturer) "The cabin air system in today's jetliners is designed to provide a safe, comfortable cabin environment at cruising altitudes that can reach upwards of 40,000 feet. At those altitudes, the cabin must be pressurized to enable passengers and crew to breathe normally. By government regulation, the cabin pressure cannot be less, at maximum cruise altitude, than the equivalent of outside air pressure at 8,000 feet."
However, the container/luggage hold is outside the climate control system. Therefore, shampoo in your luggage may still ooze. Hint: puff the air out of the bottle when you pack, and put in a sealed ziplock-type bag in a luggage pocket.

What makes a shading drawing look three dimensional. What should be avoided?
They way the light falls makes objects look 3 dimensional. Shading helps to show the difference between lighter and darker areas of an object thus makes it look real.
Shading should be though through. From where does the light fall? Which side is going to be the darkest and the lightest. Logic is critical for shading otherwise the drawing will look unrealistic.
How do you play iscribble drawing game?
1. You must wait for a box that says "free".
2. You look at the topic and draw wat it says. (if you cant draw it you put pass in your box)
3. You have 5 minutes to complete the drawing after that the judge will score you with a score up to 8 the person who gets 1st is now judge
4. If you draw all over drawings or fight over getting a box you will be warned by a moderator. and if you continue you will be banned.
5. If you are a guest you can only talk to the people in the board.
6. Do not draw on layer two except for putting your name in your box.
7. They might change the way the board looks so be prepared or you will lose your spot. You have to get to it before anyone else does unless they say everyone gets there same spot they had.
