What is the difference between sketching and drawing in engineering?
During my lecture to faculties of engg Institutes affiliated to RGPV bhopal, i asked this question myself and searced on web. No correct answer was found. Then I gave a deep thougt to it and my thoughts are as follows: Graphs are schematic models in the language of Operations Research. Other two conceptual level models are Iconic/ physicsl and symbolic/ mathematical. Schematic diagram/ model represent some quntity of interest proportional to other visible quantities like legth (bar graphs) or area (pie digrams). Graphs are most widely used in engg and management and it is said that a graph / image is equivelent of several pages of description. Thus a graph normally represnt relation or comparison between two or more independent and dependent variables. Drawings, on the contrary, provide methood and rules to represent one, two or three dimensional objects.
How much money does an Aerospace engineer make yearly?
Salary for these positions usually really depends on experience and what part of the country you would work in, and of course if you have a PHD or just Master degree. But generally you would be wanting to look at somewhere around for a level 1 aerospace engineer is about 53k, for a level IV it would be more like 90k, now if you work in DC area you add about 40k to that where as in Florida it would be about what I mentioned above. Highest paid engineers are probably chemical and civil. Now I am a system engineer with about 5 years experience and with my company I make about 80k. So you can see it really varies with company, need, education and experience level and location. Hope that helps.
Plant Chemist engineer is a person that make sure that a plant operates under certain conditions that ensure that the product quality being produced is met. This person has knowledge in various fields Physics Mathematics, Chemistry, Economic ans Social Science and other specific fields like physical chemistry, thermodynamics, transport phenomena etc.) and experience in plant and product design and operation, that allow him to take fast and rational decisions in respect with safe production of goods. In top of that, this person have well developed communications and reporting skills, able to communicate with and understand the language of other engineers (mechanical engineers, control engineers, electrical engineers etc.,). IN other words a plant chemist engineers is similar to a process engineers.

What process is used to study trends?
Trend analysis is a form of comparative analysis that is often employed to identify current and future movements of an investment or group of investments. The process may involve comparing past and current financial ratios as they related to various institutions in order to project how long the current trend will continue. This type of information is extremely helpful to investors who wish to make the most from their investments.

What is the use of wire gauze in laboratory?
Wire gauze can be used to support a container (such as a beaker or flask) during heating. When the bunsen burner flame is beneath it, with a tripod, the wire gauze helps to spread the flame (and heat) out evenly over the container.
It is frequently used in combination with an iron ring and ring stand with a bunsen burner underneath it (see the Related Questions for more information about an iron ring, ring stand, and bunsen burner & tripod).
A clay triangle serves a similar purpose, except that a clay triangle is used for a crucible instead.
See the Web Links and Related Questions below for more information.
Where is the cooling element in a fridge?
Cold air is denser that warm air, so putting it at the top allows the cold air to fall downwards, displacing any warmer air back towards the cooling element. It sort of maintains a certian degree of circulation and helps keep the temperature more even. If the cooling element was at the bottom, the cold air would just stagnate in the bottom, while warmer air might still be present near the top of the refrigerator.
Who built the first hydrogen bomb?
US, 1952 Ivy Mike cryogenic liquid deuterium/tritium test device. The device itself, nicknamed "Sausage", measured 80 inches (2.03 m) in diameter and 244 inches (6.19 m) in height and weighed about 54 tons, its outer steel wall was 10 to 12 inches thick. It contained a triple thermos bottle holding the liquid fuel and a liquid hydrogen circulation system to keep the fuel cold. The device and all its tons of support equipment were on the island of Eugelab in Eniwetok atoll. When Mike was detonated, with a 10.4 megaton yield, the island and all the equipment turned into a crater and a cloud of radioactive fallout. The device was designed by Richard Garwin, at Los Alamos.
The first one small enough to actually fit in an airplane bomb bay was tested in 1954 Castle Romeo, a device named Runt, a emergency version of which entered stockpile later that year as the EC-17 bomb, the next year a ribbon parachute was added to allow the bomber time to escape the blast upgrading it to the MK-17 bomb. The MK-17 was 6 feet diameter and so long only the B-36 bomb bay was big enough to hold it. The MK-17 went through 2 upgrade mods (MK-17 mod-1 and MK-17 mod-2). Changes to the fission primary of the MK-17 produced the MK-24 with the same dimensions. The MK-24 also went through 2 upgrade mods (MK-24 mod-1 and MK-24 mod-2). Both the MK-17 and MK-24 were retired from stockpile sometime between 1958 and 1961, as smaller lighter weight bombs were developed that other bombers and even fighters could deliver.

What innovations influenced skyscrapers?
Throughout the history of architecture, there has been a continual quest for height. Thousands of workers toiled on the pyramids of ancient Egypt, the cathedrals of Europe and countless other towers, all striving to create something awe-inspiring. People build skyscrapers primarily because they are convenient -- you can create a lot of real estate out of a relatively small ground area.
The driving force behind skyscrapers is building materials, primarily concrete and steel. This and the engineering of these structures, which had to develop with their conception, is what made them possible. What do engineers use cumputers for?
Research, design, develop, and test computer or computer-related equipment for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use. May supervise the manufacturing and installation of computer or computer-related equipment and components.
Does the angle at which sunlight hits the solar panel affect the amount of energy obtained?
Yes. It gathers the most light energy when perpendicular to the the light source.
Specifications are a list of requirements, features, constraints, etc. needed by a product for it to perform its task(s) correctly. They are developed by Systems Engineers in consultation with either customers and/or marketing. They are used by the Design Engineers (e.g. Electronics Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Software Engineers, Civil Engineers) to make sure the system will perform as desired. They are used by Test Engineers to develop necessary tests and procedures to verify, troubleshoot, etc. the finished products.
In other words specifications are a standardized formal language used to communicate between the various engineering disciplines working on a project/product so that they all agree and have a common understanding of that project/product.
