How do you measure the Computer Screen?
A monitor's size is the distance (usually measured in inches) from corner to corner, diagonally across the screen.
This applies to widescreen and normal/full screen monitors.
However the manufacturer's specified size might be slightly more than the actual 'viewable size' for a couple of reasons:
1. They tend to round-up. So what they might call a 24 inch monitor might actually only be 23.5 inches.
2. A CRT monitor's size traditionally includes the casing around the screen, for reasons dating back to the invention of the technology decades ago. This doesn't apply to lcd flat panel monitors.
See the related link(s) for a more indepth guide and a tool for getting an approximate measurement of a monitor screen size.
By Measuring the monitor diagonally this will give you the screen size.
The specific models of the laptops usually have uniform sizes of the screens. So, if you know the model number, you can very easily look up its screen size.

How do you email a picture to another email?
There can be quite a few answers to how to email yourself a picture from someone else's website. It depends on what type of operating system you have, type of browser you use, what email software you have, what kind of picture viewing software you have, how the site has the picture set up at their site, etc. I'll give you some basic answers now and as you narrow down for the respondents what exactly you want to do, the answers can become more specific to what you actually want to accomplish.
The 1st thing you should be aware of is it's far faster to just save the picture to a directory on your own computer than to email it to yourself.
Let's assume the picture is set up in a manner that allows you to copy it.
1. In internet explorer, hold down your left mouse key and drag it over the picture. This can be a bit of a tricky operation as you have to get the cursor lined up just right. You should see the photo darken.
2. To save it, hold the cursor over the picture and right click which will bring up a menu. Left click on copy. With the cursor in the same place, right click again and choose save picture as. A windows explorer dialog box will pop up. If you want to email it, skip this step and move on to #3.
3. If you want to email it instead of save it, after step #1, go to the file menu above you on the internet explorer toolbar and left click on send and left click on page by email. An email template from your email software should pop up.
4. To save the picture to your computer, pick which directory in the windows explorer box you want to save it to by going to the upper left of the dialog box and browsing for the directory you want to save it in. Left click on the directory name. In the bottom of the dialog box make sure windows is going to save the file with a jpg extension. Then left click on save. You're done. If you want to email it, skip this step and move on to #5.
5. If you want to email it, right click inside the body of the email and left click on paste. A copy of the picture will now reside in the body of the email. Fill in a subject title and your email address. Click on send and a message will pop up asking in what format you want to send the email. Left click on unicode and click on send again. You will now have the email with the picture waiting in your email.
6. To open the file you saved to your computer, left double click on the file name and Microsoft Image Viewer (or whatever picture software you have) will open up and display the picture. To open the file in your email, left click on the file attachment and Microsoft Image Viewer (or whatever picture software you have) will open up and display the picture.
These instructions are for Internet Explorer version 7.0 and for Windows XP with service pack 2. There are other ways to do this depending on what software you have, etc. If you look around your browser while on the picture website using a combination of the above commands (or ones similar in nature), you will have the same or similar results.
Others can give you a more definitive set of instructions once you provide us with the various variables mentioned previously.
In addition. you may want to consider switching your internet browser from Internet Explorer over to Mozilla Firefox which is a freeware. Firefox is more secure when surfing the net and is also very user friendly.
