As soon as the muslims realized that the congress was safeguarding hindu rights alone, the intellectual muslims of subcontinent wanted their own representation in politics. Thus the All India Muslim League was created. Its main aim was to safeguard muslim rights & create better terms eith the British Government.

Bharath Ratna is the highest civilian award in India. This is followed by Padma vibhushan , Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri in that order.Apart from these national awards there are also field specific awards. For instance the Dada Sahab Phalke award and National Film awards are given for achievements in the film industry. Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, Arjuna award , Dronacharya award and Dhyan Chand award are given for achievements in the sports field. Sahitya academy awards are given for litereature while sangeetha natak fellowship and lalith kala fellowship are given for excellence in other arts.

Pakistan gained independence in 1947, at the same time as India. However, Pakistan was a divided country.West Pakistan occupied the northwestern portion of British India, including the western part of the divided province of punjab. One thousand miles to the east was East Pakistan, later enamed Bangladesh. Between the two regions was the new India. In the bitterness that followed partition, India made trade and travel between the two Pakistans difficult.

Because she estranged herself with too many people at the same time : the Taliban, Pakistani 'Jihadi' fundamentalists and also certain radical elements within the all powerful Pakistani ISI and Pakistani Armed Forces.

Benazir Bhutto albeit the choice of the 'Western' governments to drive Pakistan along the democratic path, did not enjoy uncontested support among her countrymen.

She was continually dogged by corruption-charges during her two previous stints as Prime-Minister of Pakistan. In South Asia, she was widely known as the public-face of her kleptocratic regime. Benazir Bhutto and her husband Asif Ali Zardari faced a number of legal proceedings including a conviction for money laundering through Swiss banks. Her husband was famously known as "Mr. 10 percent". Jemima Khan Goldsmith (ex-wife of Pakistan skipper Imran Khan) famously described Benazir Bhutto as "the Kleptocrat in an Hermes Headscarf".

Benazir Bhutto's poor track-record as Prime-Minister associated with her pro-Western attitude made her deeply unpopular among the Pakistani electorate especially in rural and tribal-areas bordering Afghanistan and Iran.

It must be noted that Benazir Bhutto seriously under-estimated the strength of her political rivals, fundamentalist enemies and over-estimated the ability of General Pervez Musharraf to provide her with efficient and fool-proof security.

Given the numerous opponents that she had within Pakistan, it was unwise of her to have attempted to stay in Pakistan and attend political gatherings where her personal security is bound to be difficult to guarantee.

In fine, her poor judgment of the current pre-electoral political and security situation in Pakistan put her in the path of harm's way and eventually got her killed.

Durand Line is the line demarcating the boundaries of India and Afghanistan. It was drawn up in 1896 by Sir Mortimer Durand. At present this boundary lies in POK (Pakistan occupied Kashmir).

Yes. Indian culture is the oldest in the world. India is a country with many beautiful cities, each one unique in it's own way. Probably the best monument in India is the Taj Mahal, built by Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz. The best thing about India is the sheer perseverance of her people and is one of the finest democratic countries of the world.

If you know about the heritage of India then obviously u shud know that India was one of the foremost and most advanced civilisations in the ancient known world. Till today, though it is stamped as a third world country, its administration is still one of the least corrupted in the world, and running a country with the second highest population in the world is no joke. The Rights of Liberty, Fraternity, Sovereignty and Equality is truly there in India, also being a Republican country at the same time.

Very few countries in the world can cope up with all these features. Just for your information, if my memory does not betray me, the Constitution of India has the lenghtiest and the most complex written codes, where the rights of citizens and each law is explained with great accuracy.

India is better than other countries in many aspects for example..

Democracy(anybody can stand in election by representing a party or as an independent candidate), The Panchayat sytem..where the villagers settle the problems without the aid of police or going to court.

The Geographical& Cultural diversity-India is the only place where you can find diverse geograhy like snow covered mountains, tropical rain forests, sandy deserts, hill stations,lonely Islands, plateau etc.. Indian society is strong and united, Indian keep good families(most Indians marry only once in lifetime).

And I am proud to be an Indian

Before the British left India, they vowed to create some sort of hate, in order to contradict Mahatma Gandhi's statement of a unified country. They rumoured to the Muslim minority that the reformed Indian Government would be a all Hindu part, which would, in turn become a threat to the Muslim people (of course a rumour as India's 3rd President, Zakir Hussian was a proud Indian Muslim). Nevertheless, the Muslim's in the then British India felt threatened by this and opted to create two Muslim nations, to the convenience of the Muslim's living in West and East India, respectively. Unfortunately, this feud is still ongoing in the subcontinent, however India and Bangladesh are very friendly and both have a minority population of the two religions. Pakistan, however, may have a temple in Karachi, are still very prejudice and racist towards the Hindu and Sikh population, driving them back to India and causing bitter relations between the two neighbouring countries.

There are no similarities, apart from both are a sovereign country. Spain is part of the European mainland, while New Zealand is formed from two separate islands, near Australia.

There are several similarities between New Zealand and Spain that derive from the fact that the New Zealand system of governance is based on a European model. Both New Zealand and Spain are representative democracies with royalty as the head of state. Both also give a strong degree of autonomy to peoples and provinces which have a distinct culture from the dominant center (Catalonians and Basques in Spain and Maori in New Zealand)

Bangladesh is an independent country since 1971. It is soverign. East Pakitan was forcefully governed by Pakistan against the will of tyhe Bangalees. in Dec 1971 the freedom Fighters of Bangladesh drove all Pakistani Army. Bangladesh was never a part of India, and it wpn't be.
