Remove the positive cable from the battery posts. Remove the cables from the starter. Remove the starter retaining bolts. The old starter will come off. Reverse the process to install the new starter.

You need not remove the entire rear deck. Simply remove the speaker grilles. They are each attached with three mounting screws. The screws can be accessed by opening the trunk and locating the speakers. A Phillips screwdriver can be used to remove the screws through three holes around the speaker. Also disconnect the speaker plug to each speaker. Once the screws are removed, the speaker grilles can be lifted off from inside the car. This will reveal the 6"x9" speakers. Remove the four screws attaching each speaker and they can be removed from the top. Acura replacement speakers can simply be plugged in using the factory plugs. Premium speakers might require special spade connectors or soldering to install. Both will require removing the Acura plugs. Be careful not to cross the positive and negative wires to the speakers. The twin wire connector is positive (+). The single wire is negative (-). Once installed and tested, replace the grilles by reinstalling the screws and enjoy the new sound.

Supplemental Restraint System

Don't worry about breaking it, you will have to pop it out and replace the whole light. It usually run around $25 for a pair of lights.

The stock wheel has a 55 mm positive offset. Positive offset means that the wheel is tucked into the fender well 55mm more than it would be if the bolt flange of the wheel were perfectly centered in the wheel. Negative offset means that the wheel will stick out of the fender well more.

So........ If you reduce (55mm-45mm) the positive offset my 10mm, your wheels and tires will stick out of your fenderwells 10mm further than the stock wheel, assuming that the aftermarket wheel is the same width as the stock wheel.

It depends on the age of the vehicle and the different options that come with it, but typically you are looking upwards of twenty thousand dollars for this car.

Key off, hold select button, then turn key on, but don't start engine, wait approximately 15 seconds until maintenance required light stops flashing. Turn key back off. Turn on again without starting if reset is successful maintenance light will only appear once. I had to hold both the select and reset botton. I had to hold both buttons as well. Maybe it is the reset button that needs to be held. I will find out at next service.

This is a sensor problem with a service bulletin issued. Theu have extended the warranty for some vehicles to 10 years 150, 000. Unfortunately they don't tell you about it until you spend $89 to determine what the problem. They may not tell you at all.

I have the same problem.... I had a friend that put it on a computer (they only cost around $50) and it told me that I had misfires in 5 of the cylinders which means I need a tune up.... Once I get the tune up I will let you know if they come back. i just replaced my trans on my acura tl type s , and what ur saying is exactly what happ to me my vsa light came on then my check engine light then my car was acting crazy n i needed a turq converter my transmission filter was clogging cause my 3rd gear was breaking down

3. Press the < or > button repeatedly until the oil life is displayed.

4. Press and hold the Select/Reset button for 10 seconds. The Multi-Information Display will ask for a confirmation. * a. If you are sure you want to reset the display, press the Select/Reset button for 10 seconds again. (This is the part omitted from the manual.) * b. If you do not want to reset the display, press the < or > button to select "Cancel"

Acura dealer does it for free but may charge you to get the radio code or serial number you can hold two buttons and get the code and just call the dealer or I think you can do it online too once you have the serial for the radio

There is a 5"x12" rectangular airbox on the right side middle of the engine that has 4 Phillips screws, one on each corner. Use a little bit of elbox grease and an appropriate sized screw driver to loosen screws until they rotate freely.

There's no need to remove them completely. Carefully slide air intake tube from the left side of the airbox (e.g using a flathead screwdriver). Remove airbox top cover taking care not to tear any of rubber hoses around.

Pull out the old air filter noting the positioning of the filter and replace with compatible filter (Fram CA9564 Heavy Duty Air Filter works) available at walmart or amazon. Also be sure to clear out debris caught in the bottom of the airbox before adding new filter.

Replace the airbox cover and tighten the screws. Re-attach air intake making sure the rubber tab from the air intake fits into the notch in the airbox.

Open the radio from panel and take Serial number of the radio and call Acura dealer and get the radio code

What worked for me was to unplug the antenna in the back of the radio and then enter the security code. Once the security code is entered, you can plug the antenna connector back into the radio.

Ever since electric fans started appearing in cars as stock factory items, they've been controlled by thermostats, just like the thermostat in your home A/C system. They typically are hard-wired (not through the ignition switch) so as to help continue to cool the engine, even after you've shut it off. All engines suffer from some degree of what's known as "heat-soak", or the condition of residual heat in the block continuing to heat the coolant for some time after the engine is shut off. Left unchecked, this can lead to elevated temperatures under the hood, causing drastic pressure spikes in both the coolant and fuel circuits. Remember, there's no longer any air moving under the hood. Granted, there's pressure relief controls to handle this, but they bring about the possibility of dumping fuel and glycol overboard.

The engine computer is located behind the passenger side panel just to the left of your right foot. You have to remove the plastic part by first pulling up the plastic part on the running board then gently working the side panel out. There are no screws. You will see a little aluminum box.
