Adoption is a court procedure among other things and because of that there are certain things the court wants to be sure of before allowing for an adoption and at the top of that list is the status of the child's biological parents. It is becoming more common for parents to remarry and have their new spouse adopt their child from a previous relationship. In order for a stepparent to adopt, he or she will need the written consent of the other biological parent. If this consent is denied, the stepparent must petition the court to terminate the parental rights of the biological parent, unless those rights have already been terminated as part of the divorce.

There are several variables. In some states the foster family is paid a per diem per child. This is meant to cover the expenses of the child (other than medical). The per diem rates vary based on the child's situation. Foster families that take special needs children often receive more. You need to check into the laws in your area to find out.

Yes but the other parent needs to be ok with it and so does the 19 year old because he/she is an adult.

tell her that it has an up to it you get money every month for being a foster parent. Before you get to be a foster parent you have to take classes and that would help her become her to be a better parent to.

This is usually done preparatory to an adoption. Signing away one's rights does not terminate one's child support obligation.

The majority of US states do not allow the emancipation of minors.

Those states that have emancipation procedures rarely grant such rights. If a decree is granted it can be rescinded at any time for any reason before the minor reaches the state's age of majority.

The minimum age for filing an emancipation petition in states that have status is 16.

The issue of adoption would not be relevant if the minor meets all other requirements.

In a closed adoption, it's usually 18. Laws are changing now, so call your local Childrens' and Family Services and ask.

There are two options. The child can be reliquished to the care of juvenile social services and become a ward of the court. Or a private attorney who specializes in adoption and is registered as such with the court of jurisdiction. Some states allow private adoption agencies which are licensed and bonded by the state, to assist both the adoptive parents and the parent(s) who is giving up custody.

Is really important to adopt a child because you are giving him a home. Most important is that they need someone to take care of them and most important love them. The're a lot of kids that need a home and if you can help so there not a lot of child's without parents it would be really nice. You would make theire lifes happier and they would make your life happy to. They are not the responsibles for the mistakes there parents did.

And this P.I. helped my wife find her son she gave up for adoption 30 years ago. All this has turned out wonderful!!! My wife and her son talk every week on the phone and we have even made great friends with the family that adopted him. We talk to them twice a week, or at least email real often. We have exchanged at least 500 photos . . . they story goes on . . .

You cannot. Even in private adoptions - where a birth parent knows you and wants you to raise their child - a home study is required. This is for the protection of the kid.

They can pay for your expenses but that is as far as it goes. Federal law says you can not accept money for placing your child for adoption. Expenses for birth, medical, living etc is paid during the pregnancy through the agency by the family who will adopt. Also a sum the following month after birth for post natal care. Anything else counts as trafficking.

There are a ton of ways that the world has created. But as an adopted child myself, I say stay out of it! It's not some fairy tale like you see in the movies. I hated that my birth parents made contact with me. They have homes and families and you gave them up. You'll only be screwing their life up again by making any contact.

Being a guardian/foster parent, you get paid for everything. The child recieves many benefits. Such as Vacation Fund, Or Recreational Fund. Depending on the childs time in care as well, they're eligible to receive free schooling throughout College/University. But being an Adoptive parent you cover the costs of everything. An adoptive father is your legal guardian and is your father. A step father is a man who marries your mother. He does not have to adopt you and cannot unless your biological father agrees to give up his rights as a parent.

There are many types of adoption including international and local. There is also Open and private adoptions. An Open adoption is when the biological parent(s) are allowed visitation with the child. A private adoption is like when a child is turned over into the chosen adopted family right after birth and the biological parent(s) have no contact with the child.

The child must be available for adoption...that means the parental rights of the birth parents must be terminated legally. I have one friend who signed over her rights to someone else so that an adoption could take place.

yes you can get a fathers rights terminated if he has been terminated if he's been in and out of prison ---- Having parental rights (and responsibilities) terminated is a very serious action which doesn't happen automatically because someone's in prison. It's a lengthy court process. You need to talk to a family law attorney.
