Well, a big butt is one that you can't control. It rocks when you don't want it to. Well, that's what I call a big butt anyway. I used to wear girdles sometimes because people kept looking and telling me how it was big. And it was heavy. Hampering my walk. Someone might have the same size booty and deal with it, control it. If you feel it hampers you, then it is big.

It depends what you are used to doing. The simplest (and cheapest) forms of exercise for anyone who is not used to it are walking and swimming. Walking is free, just make sure you are wearing good shoes as it can affect the joints etc and pounding pavement can make things like arthritis worse. If you have arthritis swimming takes the weight off the joints but still gives you a good workout. The only downside is you have to show your body, however many pools have specific 'Senior Swim' times, so you are all in the same boat.

There's anaerobic exercises as well, during which you push really hard for a short time and deplete your bodys store of oxygen in the tissues. Then you have a recovery period and then you push ard again.

excerise is only half of the process of losing weight. if you want you want to lose weight in your butt, then your diet has to be altered. eating right and excercising will increase your chances of firming your butt. also, there are creams you can buy from supermarkets, chemists, k-mart, big-w etc. that were designed to help firm the skin. you could rub some of these creams into your butt and you should see results within a couple of weeks.
