Disadvantages for battery farming?
Battery farmed chicken is cheaper than free range, but that is the only thing about battery hens that are good. When you eat plant foods, all the energy and material from that plant goes straight to your body. If a hen eats the same plant food, and soon it would be killed to that it could be eaten, not all the original energy and material that was in the plant would be passed on to your body.
The reason for this is because when the animal was alive, it took almost all of it energy it needed for itself and much of would go out through the body by faeces. This means this less and less energy that comes to us. This is one reson why battery hen farming is a effienct way of producing food!
Not only that put the air is kept warm in its cages, so that less energy converted to heat!! Disadvantages- Some ethical issues- People think that battery farming is morally wrong. Hens cannot carry out natural behaviour such as preening, scratching, dust and water bathing and rustling of feathers because of lack of room to move. Their bodies grow too quickly due to their diet and their legs cannot grow as quick, so the legs give way and break, which is very distressing and painful for the hen. The hens develop severe behaviour problems and can attack each other. ---- Advantages- They are fed high protein diets to make them grow very big very quickly, so manufacture of hens is quicker and the meat will also be tender, due to the chicken being young. The restricted space to move means they do not use the energy from the food they eat to move around. Energy is also conserved because the cages they are kept in are kept very warm. This means more of the energy from the chicken comes to the consumer.
Horse slaughter is NOT illegal in the United States, though certain states (such as New Jersey) ban the slaughter of horses for human consumption. The problem with using horse flesh for food is that saddle soap might slightly taint the meat. What IS illegal (by federal statute) is killing wild mustangs that were released in the US hundreds of years ago by the Spaniards. Some believe wild horses are an invasive species that foul springs and increase erosion by tearing up creek banks and destroying native habitats. However, there are tens of thousands more head of cattle and sheep being grazed for profit on public lands that do far more harm to the landscape than the relatively few wild herds left behind after the massive Bureau of Land Management roundups in recent years.
Although some states prohibit the slaughter of horses for human consumption, there is no federal law banning the practice. There are cultural taboos against the consumption of horse meat, which is why most horses slaughtered in the US are exported to other countries. Plus, since horses are not raised for human consumption like cattle, for instance, their diets are not free of drugs and feed additives that would be considered undesirable for the palette of European horse meat purchasers.

What procedure do scientists go through to test cosmetics on animals?
There are three tests: the Draize test (securing rabbits' heads in a clamp and dripping the product in their eyes, then killing the rabbits after a while to study their eyes), skin reactivity tests (they use either shaved rabbits or hairless animals, apply the product to the skin, then kill the animals after a while to study their bodies) and the worst one, the LD50 test. The LD50 test is run on many products, not just cosmetics. It's especially run on medicines. They use 100 animals and either force down their throats, apply to their skins or inject them with a certain dose of the product. Two weeks later, they count the number of animals that remain alive. If only 50 are left, the test is over--LD50 is the dose that kills half the animals that receive it. (They then kill the rest of the animals.) If half the animals didn't die, they repeat the test with a larger dose, and continue until they find a dose that kills half the animals. The PETA and Humane Society of the United States people HATE this test with a passion because if the product will kill something, it will also cause it great pain.
Why do people smuggle animals?
Well, there are lots of ways this can be accomplished.
For starters, how big is the animal in question?
If you're trying to smuggle in something small, say the T-virus, then just bite the bullet and infect yourself. Airport security won't even see the virus coursing through your veins, turning you in to either a super soldier or the living dead. (Reaction depends on the individual's unique immune system, results may vary.)
If it's a smaller animal, try passing it off to security as a Pokemon. This works particularly well if you are coming from Japan. A related ploy would be, for example, if you are smuggling in a Koala from Australia, or a Chinchilla From wherever you get those, but are coming from China, you can say they are a mogwai. This is referred to as deflection. Be creative, and you can get away with it.
If your animal is a bit larger, say a jungle cat, say that they are a special breed that you had to travel to that country to buy. Or pass them off as a breed of dog. You may need to shave the Maine off of a male lion if that is what you are smuggling. It is advisable to knock the animal out before doing this, as they get kind of testy when you don't.
If you have a gorilla, try dressing it in an old, frumpy dress, and put a flowery straw hat on it and give it a large purse. You can buy a plane ticket for it, and if they give you any lip about the gorilla you have with you, just say "What a horrible thing to say about my grandmother!!!". This will cause terrible feelings of guilt in the accuser, and they should totally lay off you.
Remember that in the United States it is difficult to keep these things hidden. Please make sure you have a house big enough to contain your smuggled animal. If you live in an apartment, a chinchilla is fine, but a tiger is not. If you are Jay-Z, you can keep a tiger in doors, but a blue whale means you need to spring for a salt water lake out back. Again, use your best judgment.
Also, keep in mind that vampires and werwolves can take human form, earn money, and buy their own plane tickets. If you choose to help them obtain passports illegally, well, that's your business.
Why do people want to abuse their animal just for fun or what?

Has cosmetics testing on animals been banned in the us?
Cosmetic testing in animals is not banned in any state. Animal testing is actually strongly supported by the government. For instance, the Department of Defense spends $100 million on animal testing each year. The main reason that it is hard for cosmetic companies to get away from animal testing is the very strict laws regarding the safety of their products. By law they have to be able to show the effects of their products over time and in large quantities. Though a question of ethics, animal testing is a long way from being out the door.
Why shouldn't people abuse animals?
