How do you overcome the fear of getting shots?

Well hunny, Everyone needs shots because you get Vaccinated for diseases that we werent able to vaccinate for Years ago such as Hep B and Hep A and Small Pox. So theres no gettting around getting shots. I know that they hurt and I hate them too. I actually am a Medic and I work at a hosptital and I give shots. The best thing to do it to tell them "Do not count, just do it" It makes it easier for you if they dont count. If you dont know when the shot is coming, you wont tense up and it will hurt less. So just think to yourself, It will be over in a minute. Sit there and close your eyes. If your nurse or doctor doesnt count.. itll will probably be over before you knew they even Stuck you. Happy Vaccinations.

How long does it take lorazepam to work?

I would refer you to the website benzo.org.uk for the work of Professor Heather Ashton and her manual "The Ashton Manual"; this publication can be read or downloaded for free from that website. She is a world-authority on the subject. I have read that some of the withdrawal symptoms can last up to 1-2 years, and in rare situations never completely resolve. There are many other websites with information on this subject. Unfortunately, the drug manufacturers and prescribing doctors have a pathetic lack of information on the harm this drug can cause and how to withdraw safely, and are woefully ignorant of the hell one can go through when withdrawing from this medication, even from very small doses. It is a very hard process to go through, but one that can be done safely with the right information. You will be much healthier in the long-run for going through this--however, it is not easy. Most important, do not quick cold turkey, but taper very slowly. It is imperative to get accurate information from those who have been through this process. Again, Professor Ashton's work is a good place to start. Sbird

How do you prevent panic attacks?

There is one key factor that makes the difference between those who fully eliminate panic attacks from their lives and those who do not. The key ingredient is not medication, lifestyle changes, or relaxation exercises. It is when the individual no longer fears the thought of having a panic attack..

This may seem like a simplified and obvious observation but give it careful consideration. The one thing that has you searching for a solution to anxiety and panic attacks this very moment is the fear of having another one.

There is a simple technique known as the One Move Technique which is powerful in restoring you back to your former care free self. I am not only talking about eliminating panic attacks but also getting your general anxiety level right back down to zero without the use of any medication or alternative therapies. This technique is based on advanced psychology made simple for everyone to apply. It has been used by a large no.of people with satisfactory results.

If you would like to check out the One Move Technique or read the testimonials Go to this site :

There isnt a simple solution to stop panic attacks, there infact isnt a routine that works for everybody, and there isnt a medicine, but infact different things you can try.

I get panic attacks so much that I kept almost being sick, fainting, I just breakdown and cry. I would recommend a therapist. Or, purple is a calm colour. Just calm yourself down. Get some candles, perhaps some lavendar or a nice smelling thing, turn all the lights off and put on some relaxing music... Theres a variety of music you can try on YouTube. It completely calms you down, and eventually you'll understand that you can relax

What would make an otherwise normal woman start to sweat a lot under her arms?

Underarm odor in women, and men, is mainly caused by the bacteria that live and multiply in the sweat that tends to get trapped in underarm and genital regions. These bacteria often emit sulphur-containing gases as part of their respiration process. Another lesser cause of body odor can sometimes be certain foods that you eat, garlic is a common culprit, but these odors are not limited to pubic regions, they come from all over your body, but are usually stronger in pubic regions because of the combination of hair and sweat there. Then there is your own natural scent which you may or may not find appealing, which also is a bodywide odor, and will be stronger in your sweaty and hairy regions.

What natural supplement can I use for anxiety and depression?

Some people have had good results from St. John's Wort. See the link below the ads for more on that.

The trouble with medication for depression is that depression has many causes. Our brains are bathed in hundreds of chemicals and enzymes, which must all work together properly. Different psych medications alter different characteristics of our neuro-chemistry, but in truth it is a hit-or-miss practice a good deal of the time.

If one medication is not successful, try another. Depression is not only a debilitating condition, it can also be life-threatening, and it usually becomes worse over time if untreated. You need the guidance of a doctor who treats emotional problems, not just your family physician. They rarely have the proper training.

A final word about "natural" remedies. Much of the concept is blown out of proportion. What is more "natural," an uncontrolled extract of some plant that may or may not have a pharmacological purpose -- touted by non-medical people -- or a medication that has been extensively tested by experts and proven by widespread use? Use your head, and don't be swayed by "natural" anything. Remember that the people in the health food stores mean well, but they are not experts.

One of the main causes of depression these days is homocysteine, according to the LEF (Life Extension Foundation). You can download a paper from their web site about how to reduce homocysteine, but the main thing you want to take to lower homocysteine is folic acid. Unfortunately, folic acid is poorly metabolized by the body. In my journey to conquer my own depression I first took regular folic acid and experienced an inconsistent but noticeable improvment. This told me I was on to something, especially after my research told me that folic acid reduced homocysteine but the body had a hard time using it. So... I searched for a superior form of folic acid. And I found MegaFolinic (Source Naturals) which eliminated two steps of the four-step metabolic conversion. This was a noticeable improvement over the regular folic acid I had been taking, but I could tell I needed something even better. The effect was noticeable and gave me hope, but it still wasn't enough. Then, thank goodness, I found the "real deal" form of folic acid, called L-Methylfolate or 5-MTHF. This is the form of folic acid actually used by the body, and needs no conversion at all! When it first came out though (a couple years ago) it was a "medical food" prescription item, and required a prescription. It was called Deplin. I strongly suggest you read everything on their web site (I don't know if I am allowed to post links here). The information there explained that 5-MTHF is seven times more bioavailable than regular folic acid. I knew immediately that that's what I needed. Problem was, it was expensive. And required a prescription, despite being only a vitamin (folic acid). Well... a couple years passed and I was browsing LEF's web site and discovered that they were now selling it (L-Methylfolate)!!! I was so excited. I immediately ordered two bottles and started taking it. The effect was immediate and very noticeable. I guess they downgraded it (the FDA) from prescription to supplement status. I am now taking it and it has completely eliminated my depression. Consistently.

Any time you take B vitamins (folic acid is a B vitamin) you want to take all the B vitamins with it. So a B complex is good. Also, you need to take a good mineral supplement too. I buy and take the Emergen-C packets and mix them in a glass of water.

TMG and zinc are also important. TMG reduces homocysteine along a different pathway. You have to take enough of it though. And also, be careful not to take too much L-Methylfolate. Consult with your health practitioner. Remember, it is the pure form of folic acid, so it is more "powerful". You can overdo anything, right? Anyway, this was the answer to my depression. There are other things I plan on doing to improve my mood even more, like reducing my estrogen dominance (I'm a man). And there is a really good supplement out of Canada called EMPowerPlus too. Check that out too, on YouTube.

Godspeed.

It depends. It depends if the party has a lot of people, (a big party's) or barely any (a small party).

A big party: NO WAY. A shy person would never go to a big party, especially if they have anxiety problems. They don't like to be around a lot of people. Don't even try it. They could get mad at you.

A small party: It depends. If you get people the shy person doesn't even know about. The shy person would most likely will not go. If it is the shy person's friends. She will most likely go.

Why do I dream of loved ones who have died..are they trying to tell me something?

It's a premonition of their loved ones dying.

There are many reasons one might dream of loved ones dying. One common cause is the normal anxiety stemming from the realization that every person must eventually die, including one's parents and family members. Another very common cause is a change in one's relationships. As young people become less dependent on parents, it is not unusual to have dreams of the parents' deaths, and conversely, for parents to dream of the maturing child's death. The end of a romantic relationship can be depicted as a death in dreams, as can divorce, unemployment or relocation.

What does it means when you dream about someone telling you to die?

You might be a bit worried about a new person or friend in your life letting them too close or might be a bit anxious or worried of some kind it could lead to all different things
