A typical dose is 2 or 3 tablets daily. Ativan should normally not be taken by children under the age of 12. But some side affects to Ativan are, insomnia, drowsiness and changes in appetite. Serious side-effects, such as hallucinations, suicidal tendencies and depression should be reported to your physician immediately.

I think you'll be alright, i assume that your worried about the caffeine content of the beverage however there is such a small amount that it shouldn't have any impact on you while taking ativan. It is recommended that you avoid Large* amounts of caffeine while on lorazapam.

I have been on benzo's for over eight years both klonopins and ativans and assorted anti-deppressants. Needed to stop anti-deppressants mostly for side effects mainly inorgasmia cause whats the point if you can't have an orgasm you might as well be deppressed.

But as far as benzo's I was taking Ativan 3-2 mg. tabs a day for stress and anxiety and panic attacks was moving and didnt feel like searching for a new doc so I just quit cold but still had half the script left and a refill which i will refill of course

but it has been one month since i stopped and i am fine, may have taken 3 or 4 pills over the four weeks here and there but other than a some insomnia and minor anxiety attacks I am fine and will be better off without them

People understand we will always have stress in our lives but we need to get rid of the single most stressing thing that we deal with, which is different for each of us and start there. Yes that can and might be impossible for most people but it can only start with change, which for most of us is the reason we are on the meds in the first place but I can tell you from experience it can be done and no, it won't be easy but if you want to get off the pills you need to do

Hi. I have Bipolar 1 and currently take 50 mg Seroquel and 200 mg Lamictal. I was just put on 10mg Celexa to help with unexpected depression. And I take Ativan sparingly if I feel anxious. Valium and xanax are benzodiazepines and are not tested for on a DOT drug screen at all. In fact, it is illegal to test for these substances on a federal DOT test. The DOT drug screen looks for marijuana, opiates, PCP, amphetamines and cocaine. There's no such thing as a drug it's illegal to test for according to the DOT; they could test you for steroids if they wanted to. The reason they only test fpr those five drugs is that they're the five drugs most likely to be found in a trucker's urine. Considering that most drivers who do drugs are doing so to stay awake, why would any trucker do downers?

I suppose the worst reaction a person can have to any drug is an allergic reaction, including anaphylaxis. But, for Ativan, some people have the opposite effect -- it makes them wired and aggitated. Others may be totally hammered by it. The latter may be dose dependent, though.
