How do you reset the oil service light manually on a 1994 325i BMW?
I am not responsible if you cause damage to your Answers.com.
Unscrew the Answers.com port cap. (Located on the right side of the engine bay or left side as you stand in front of the car, round cap next to the right strut tower: see photo location below)
Once you have it opened you will see a big Pac-Man shaped hole and twenty little round holes. What is a Pac-Man? Never mind. We are only concerned with pin 7 and pin 19 (note: the words "pin" and "hole" are used interchangeably in this text). Refer to the picture below to find pins 7 and 19.
What we will be doing in this exercise is connecting pins 7 and 19 with a paperclip for four seconds. This will reset the Answers.com service light. Simple, no? But first, here is the list of pins and what they are supposed to do:
Pin Terminal Description
1 TD TD Signal
2 - Not occupied
3 - Not occupied
4 - Not occupied
5 - Not occupied
6 - Not occupied
7 SI Service Interval Reset
8 - Not occupied
9 - Not occupied
10 - Not occupied
11 - Not occupied
12 61 (D+) Generator Charge Indicator
13 - Not occupied
14 30 Voltage; Hot At All Times
15 RXD Diagnostic Data Link
16 15S Voltage; Ignition Switch in Run
17 - Not occupied
18 PGSP Programming Line
19 31 Ground
20 TXD Diagnostic Data Link
OK, now you're ready to reset the oil service light, so turn the ignition key to position II, but don't start the Answers.com. Get out of the car and go to the data port. Always connect pin 7 first. Once you've inserted one end into pin 7, insert the other end into pin 19 and hold it there for 4 seconds. Then remove the paperclip. Check the dash and the oil inspection lights should be reset. The reset occurs upon removal of the clip.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT HOLD IT THERE FOR LONGER THAN 10 SECONDS or you may inadvertently reset your inspection I/II interval.
I am not responsible for this write up, I found it on the web. It took me twice to get it to reset but the first time I did not touch the sides of the port holes with the paperclip. Make sure there is contact with the inside of the ports.
Again, Do Not leave it there for more than 10 seconds.

I Need good BMW repair in culver city?
Depending on the nature of the repair, it may be wise to approach an authorized BMW dealer. You can expect a BMX franchise to have the full support of the manufacturer and suitably qualified mechanics.
To find a lower cost repair, for any location, it is worth talking to other BMW owners to get feedback on local non BMW authorized repair centers. There are many excellent firms to be found but finding them can take a little research.

BMW 318i crankcase vent valve?
Yes, all 318 e30 e36 or e46 have a CVV.
If it's hissing or whistling, it needs to be replaced. You should be able to hear it, but it should not be loud. If you can hear it from in side your car, it's very much in need of replacement. Don't let it go, can cause other issues due to sucking oil through the top of your engine.
If your ti is an automatic you need to tow it with the rear wheels off the ground.
It is best to tow these cars on a Flatbed or a trailer. A conventional tow truck or a towbar can cause body damage.
or just stick it in nuatral with the car running to keep the rear axel lubricating.
that is with any rear wheel vehicle. but it is still dangerous.
How do you add transmission fluid to a 1984 BMW 528e?
If you have access to a lift, this procedure can be done a lot easier. Only cause you won't have to drag or slide your body in & out from under the car..... Before you get started you WILL need a manual pump. It kind of looks like a bicycle pump with but with 2 hoses , one for extracting fluid from bottle and one to administer fluid to vehicle.......Also lay some old newspaper down just in case you spill (which in most cases you you will) What you need to do is have car on flat surface. Locate your transmission from under the car, look for 2 bolts. One should be in the center and the other on the side of the transmission. (just below half way) If your just wanting to fill transmission (as stated from this gentleman) unscrew side bolt with I believe a 13mm wrench. Put one of the hoses in bottle of fluid and one in your transmission and pump away. The siphoning action will slowly start filling your transmission. What you need to do is fill it till you see fluid just starting to pour out. At this time stop and replace side bolt. Clean up remaining fluid and you're done. Checking fluid in future, just unscrew side bolt, stick your finger in and feel if fluid is low. If so, now you know what to do to fill it.
(Quick note)
Make sure you have correct fluid....80 or 90 on standard trans or ATF. Use Owners manual.... or go on-line if your not to sure.

How do you clear code wait after entering the wrong radio code on BMW 328I?
Leave the unit on for at least an hour, maybe even an hour and a half. 'Code Wait' should go away and you should then be able to input the correct code; only three tries!
Defective or disconnected sending unit. The density of the coolant is measured as well as the quantity, it does not have enough antifreeze to 'float' the sensor....

An ecm fuse is the fuse that protects and powers the Electronic Control Module in your car. Simply put, it is the fuse for you cars computer that controls all or most of the electronic engine controls.
I think you will find the indicator relay under the steering column so remove the plastic cover and swap old with new.
I hope this helps
You can reset the interval service by your self. If you wants I can send the explanation to you.
