#47 in the glove compartment. yeah your answer really helped in locating the fuse for the cigarette lighter, but to my amazement after changing the fuse and tried out the light it still didnt work please could you advise. thank you very much

The numbers refer to the engine capacity. The letters refer to the trim level and if it is fuel injected or normally aspirated. eg 325i . 3 Series 2.5 Ltr injected base trim level.

in the top of the engine there is a cap with an oil can sign on it . Fill the oil in there. Be care not to over fill as it can cause the engine to cease!

there is a black ring around the egnition where the key goes in.

put a flat head screw driver behind this using a wedge affect and pop it off.

when this pops off put the flat heaD SCREW DRIVER ONTO THE EGNITION WHERE THE KEY WOULD GO,

AND TILT IT DOWN AT THE SAME TIME SLIDE THE BARREL OUT.

If they are the same as BMW they wear with the pads and must be replaced to reset the light

Regardless of any engineering answer, they are a wear part of the braking system and connected to the electronic controls you rely on like ABS......they cost $2. You decide.

I just changed my pads and rotors and you should always change the sensor as they wear with the pads. The sensor for my c240 cost me $17.00 at Mercedes. You can also get them on eBay if this is a little expensive.

On the drivers side of the motor, there is a deep power steering fluid reservoir. Unscrew the lid and and then unscrew the strainer.

depends on what oil your talking about if your changing the motor oil is synthetic oil that must be used. BMW recommends castros synthetic oil but its all your choice on what synthetic oil you want to put in it. i have royal purple in my 325i 2003 and it feels alot better to drive.

Depend the number of the ecu and year of the car, general you can reset it, just recoded. The other option is, change the ecu and reset the ews and then you can redode the imobilizer with software machine.

Check and replace the thermostat. Power flush the entire system from the coolent lines going into the firewall and also look into upgrading your water pump. Purchase the better thermostat, the one that stays open when it fails as to not overheat your engine and breech the head gasket. Also dril;l hte hole in the thermostat in the 12oClock position (research it).

Also only get OEM or better parts, don't skimp on cheap parts that break, spend a little more now = less spent in the long haul.

Hi well i am a Ex-Bmw tech. and a tech HAHA but there are 4 Oxygen sensor... there are 2 Pre sensor and 2 After sensor..

easy to see but sort of a Pain to replace. If its a E46 not a E36

Are you sure you have and alarm. E46 did not come with a pre installed alarm. It was a dealer installed item. You can checked by removing the trim cover on the inside roof trim just behind the opening for the sunroof. Just pry if off with something thin like a credit card or something. If theres a sensor in there then you most likely have an alarm, if not then you don't. The most common problem would be the alarm siren that is accessed from under the hood. Search for E46 alarm install to see how to get to that.

first thing to check is the battery cables, corrosion will allow enough current for lights but not enough to engage the starter, once the terminals and cables are cleaned and tightened go to where the positive cable is connected to the starter and make sure it is clean and tight, then there is a smaller wire also going to the starter, same for it. If nothing helps have the battery tested, then remove the starter and have it tested as well before replacing either one

A BMW 325 takes about 6 or so quarts of synthetic 5w-30. Do not use conventional oil unless you hate your BMW. You must use synthetic.

PULL UP PASSENGER SIDE HANDLE AND HOLD IT UP WHILE YOU TURN THE KEY IN THE LOCK EITHER LEFT OR RIGHT........I DONT REMEMBER WHICH WAY THIS WILL UNLOCK THE DOOR ....DEPENDS ON THE YEAR
