You need to know why he broke up with you. He might have a reason that is undertandable. You need to be willing to listen to his reason with an open mind and heart. If you still have feelings for him it is ok to want him back - just make sure the reason that he gives you is one you are able to forgive and move forward with the relationship.

It's highly possible. You are lucky to have a boyfriend that speaks so freely because most men may love the woman they are with, but have a hard time expressing themself. Take it slow and easy, and if he hasn't gotten engaged to you in 6 months then ask him if he feels this way about you why don't you see an engagement ring on your finger. You need to sit down and communicate with each other and if you have to instigate this then so be it. Women take things extremely personally, but men can say things and seem to think it's no big deal and move on from it. They even do it within their own species.
