Is it a good idea to be friends with an ex?
There is nothing wrong with that, My mom and biological dad are great friends, I just turned 36 and my parents were divorced before I was borned.
How should I react to my ex girlfriend saying bad things about me and spreading lies?
don't. the best thing to do is ignore her and all her silly behaviors. all she wants is to get your attention and still has a lot of feeling left over about the relationship. if someone confronts you about one of the lies, just be honest and say the truth, but you shouldn't give in to her immature behavior. im a girl by the way so i know how girls act.
well i am a man who just left his wife at the tail end of july it was the hardest thing i've ever done i've done alot of things in my life i've fought alot of battles ya know july 31st 2001 i got high for the last time july 31st 2011 i left my wife she puts posts on fb it hurts when i see it and i want to respond and i want to talk to her because i do love her and i know shes hurt just as i am neither of us ever stepped outside the marriage we just had our issues and you my friend like i need to look @ the overall picture was it 80% good and 205 bad or vise versa if it was 80% good maybe it's repairable someone said to me tonight ok look @ it like this is you have two baseball players that are on the same team they both play the same part on that team lets say 3rd base, but one is better then the other do you get rid of the other player or do you find another position for that player!!!!
i know how rough it is (assumeing you love/loved her) your talking about a g/f i'm talking about my wife i loved her the day i left i love her now and i am so lost about what to do because it was 80/20 she says bad things but thats ok just like her i did bad things that caused our marriage to fail but now that shes gone and time has passed i am realizing how much i love and miss her but still think i made the right choice however i'm not so sure i want to follow through with it
she today sent me a beautiful picture of herself and a message that said do you miss your wife, she misses you, we can work this out and i can't respond because my lawyer told me not to talk to her at all right now and its eatting away at my heart and mind so forget the lies and deciet do you love her and why is she spreading the lies she is???? i wish you the best my friend
How do you get something off your mind?
Talk about it with a sympathetic friend. That's a great remedy to a cluttered mind
If someone can't stop breathing hard what do you do?
Call 911 if this keeps on or if the person begins to lose consciousness.

Depends on how he's bothering you.
just don't talk to them , like they do not exist.
You are not going to change your Mother. That is a hard thing to accept. You can try to do the following: when she starts to verbally put you down, tell her that you are not going to listen to it anymore. If you are in her home, walk out and if you are on the phone, hang up. Do not, and I repeat, do not get angry and slam the phone down or storm out of the house, but quietly say "this behavior is not acceptable to me and so I am leaving." "When you decide to speak to me respectfully as an adult, perhaps we can visit again." "I'm going to hang up now, Mom," and your reason for doing so. Don't show her that you are upset and don't cry; save that until you are out of her sight. Remember if you are not open to her either in person or on the phone, there will be no one to pick. When this happens, a few times she will realize if she wants a relationship with you, it will be on healthier terms. When this happens, wait until she calls you. If she calls and begins to yell, etc., repeat kindly, but firmly, your boundaries and say "good bye" and hang up; then wait until she calls again. Be kind and gently but remove yourself from this demeaning situation as much as possible. You can love a person from afar. Your relationship with your Mom will most likely resolve itself in time. In the meantime, take good care of yourself, [and] take this time to heal and go forward to create a happy and healthy life for yourself. Be gentle with yourself and surround yourself with kind, loving friends.
The above poster gave you some excellent advice. I can certainly relate to your problem because my own mother was like this. Later in life it was discovered she had Dementia (partner of Alzheimer's and medical science believes one can have the beginning of this long before they actually get it.) I also realized by talking to many of my girlfriends (we are all in our 50's or 60's) that many were going through the same thing of controlling or verbally abusive mothers. We discussed it and came up with this: * A person that has a miserable personality is generally a person that is hurting deep inside. * When our mothers were growing up you were given advice such as 'you made your own bed so sleep in it.' This simply meant if you made a mistake you were expected to remain in the situation and deal with it. * When our mothers were younger families (some families are still like this today) didn't 'air their dirty laundry' so they kept all that hurt, angry and rage inside. When they do this they build up a wall to protect themselves and it's generally the daughter that will receive the worst of things to come. It's woman vs woman. * Sometimes there is jealousy involved such as the mother may feel that the daughter has it so much easier than she had it and people are more open about their problems unlike when your mother was growing up. The long and short of it is, see your mother as a woman first, then your mother. One day sit with her and ask her straight out what is making her so angry. Hopefully (even if she can't give you an answer right away) it will give her something to think about and she may go back into her past and discover what is bothering her. If you can, get her to have a good physical. Often there is something that could be causing this type of behavior. Some people have been depressed for years (it can be hereditary) and it was never dealt with. Also medications can worsen an already angry or agitated person. I totally agree with the above poster that you should remain calm (save the tears for later) and be respectful, but expect the same in return. You are not her lashing post even if she is your mother.
The same is happening now to me. We went out and he told me to be friends. I told him yes but i regretted it and we eneded up having a fight now i hate him. If you stay friends and you still love him imagine when he gets a new Girlfriend youll keep saying to yourself you might go back out and you wont move forward. I think you first of all need a break from him dont get to close or your old feelings will come bubbling back up. It is really impossible for people to be friends after having a relationship. The most difficult thing there is he doesn't feel the way you feel about him. It's hard from the start but accept the fact that he doesn't have any feelings for you anymore. Don't force yourself to be his friend right now maybe later.
How to know if your ex has feelings for you even if he does NT call or message you?
When by co-inncident you come across your ex and he/she doesn't looks at your eyes and take his/her eyes away from you, at that time you have got a chance of finding it out.
You must be just able to make it up wheather is it because of anger or shame?
Can your forget your true love?
I don't think that you can or should forget them. The pain associated with them lessens over time to where you feel either neutral or happy when you think of them.
What do you do if the man you are having an affair with all the sudden ignores you?
You do nothing - you move on with your life. You should have known that as the "other woman" you were just being used for his selfish needs and there was really nothing else between you. He had no intentions of leaving his wife and being with you. Move on with your life and try to focus your interest in the direction of single men.
ANSWER:
It depend how long the two of you were having an affair. It depends on the situation with his wife. Or maybe his finally waking up that his lust is finally changing. Or you may not want to hear it, but could be that he found out that the grass is not really green on the other side. He may or maybe not that he is seeing another woman that is not his wife as well.
Ending an engagement. Who gets the ring?
The ring is returned to the giver. Answer First, sorry about the breakup. It is proper to return the ring, but if the recipient chooses not to, it is classiest for the guy not to argue about it. This is undoubtedly a sexist tradition.
If the girl you love askes you who you like over and over again does that mean she loves you?
If this girl you love asks over and over again it is possible she loves you or it's just also she wants you to give her the answer she wants witch is her,but if you tell her if she doesnt know be careful telling her.
Well first thing is first, just because your ex is cheating with YOU, does not mean that he is necessarily unhappy with being IN a relationship with the other woman. Chances are that your ex boyfriend has the best of both worlds:
He has the comfort of being with someone he is used to(you), and also being with someone "new" (current girlfriend). Perhaps he is waiting for things to get better between his new love and himself, and in the mean time biding his time with you.
If you have asked him if he still has feelings for youand he denies it, stop messing around with him! If he wants you back then leave him alone and wait for him to come back to you!!!
But I must warn you...if he does come back to you...who is to say that you and the other girl have not swithced roles...maybe you will be the current girlfriend and the prior girlfriend will become the "other woman"
Be careful...and I suggest...FIND SOMEONE NEW
I had this problem and secretly i chose who i preferred and i stood up for myself you can't choose who you like best just say you want to be both their friend's don't have to have just 1 BFF.
If he left you for another he is now realizing that it wasn't what he thought it would be and maybe "got what he wanted" from her and now is missing you. Sad but don't give in as chances are he will do this again when his eye wanders. Just ignore him, don't take his calls and keep all distance from him - he will get the hint eventually. If you find he is being totally unbearable tell him if he doesn't leave you alone you will get a restraining order - that should get rid of him.
What does it mean if a guy says he wants to break up with you so he can get to know you?
To most people the fact a guy want to break up with you to get to know you better is very strange, but actually, a smart person does just that. Things in your relationship may got too fast for him and he really wants to get to know your likes, dislikes and intellectual level. This could be a good sign this guy is extremely mature for his age. Considering this is the way he wants it then let him get to know you but tell him to nix any sexual relationship with you and see what he has to say. Don't ever hesitate to demand commitment when there is a sexual relationship going on with someone you care about.
How can you get your boyfriend to act like he really does care about you and love you?
You could tell him to and maybe he'll do it if he likes acting. The problem is, are you sure you want him to only act like it? If he doesn't really care about you and love you, he's not the right guy for you, so you may want to consider moving on and looking for the right one if he doesn't care about you.
Answer Why you would still be hanging around with an x is beyond me, you just move on do your thing and let him do his as apparently what he's doing is driving you crazy. Why would you want to live like that. Yeah for sure, but how do I tell HIM that..?
He likely has feelings for you however, if you are only "sleeping" together and not dating at this time then there is the strong possibility you are just friends with benefits and nothing more. If that is the case you are going to have to decide if you want things to continue such as this as your really in limbo. If you are dating and not sure of his feelings you should really sit down with him either way and talk to him about this.
Does it take more courage to fight or to find way to solve differences?
It takes courage to do either. One, it takes courage to potentially have your head knocked off. The other takes courage to stand your ground and be accepted as someone who doesn't have to engage. That means not caring what onlookers think, thinking for yourself. If you choose to fight and take the chance that you'll be the one to knock somebodies head off, and you beat them up, you really haven't shown that you can take a punch, or accept defeat, because you won. So you have to do it again to get that chance. Doesn't sound logical. Courage comes from standing up for someone else who can't defend themselves. Fighting for yourself when you are in danger is just self preservation, also a necessity. Ask what the issue is first.
What do you do if your ex is not contacting you but your friends and your sister?
It is best to tell him how this makes you feel and ask him not to do that as well as tell you sister and friends how this makes you feel.
That just blows. Its kinda lame when your sister says "so be it" and blows you off. If your abusive ex means more to her than YOU do then I say screw her. She is NOT a sister but by name only. what a shame. What a shame. How many years under the belt?
How do you tell your best friend to dump her boyfriend without getting inot a fight?
if you really DO want her to dump her boyfriend you are in the middle of a fight already. you behave like a mother pretending to know what's best for her daughter. a real friend would abstain from any of these meddling actions and would probably try to find out, why she does NOT dump him....she most likely knows him better than you and even needs him more than you do....to me you sound jealous and unfounded, giving no reason for your interference........
It's not jealousy, she's just trying to protect her friend. Sometimes when people are in a relationship they aren't able to see and detect lies but friends can, that's why we all get our heart broken. If we were all able to see through other people's lies we'd all avoid heartbreaks. What you could do is catch him in something bad which might not be easy at all, try reasoning with her and knock some sense into her but she probably won't listen. You could refuse to go out with her unless he's not there and when she starts to miss you come clean and tell her that you can't stand him. If neither of these work, the only option you've got left is to tell her to choose; either you or him. If you're lucky she'll choose you but if you're not...then there's nothing more that you can do.
Does your ex still care about you if he doesn't communicute?
it depends on so many things. But I think that your ex would still care about you even if they don't communicate with you, you don't have to communicate with someone to let them/show them that you still care... Your ex will probably always care about you. If it was a long relationship then of course because you shared so much together & you just can't erase that simply because you broke up.. If if that person moves on with someone else or simply doesn't communicate with you won't stop them from caring & remembering what you guys had but it will just be in a different way from when you guys were together.
