first you need to remove the valve covers and the intake manifold and the upper raditior hose also the distribuitor after you take all that stuff of you should see the large bolts that holds the head to the block take them off and remove ALL the old gasket off the head and block and put it pack together by tightining the heads from the middle out same with the intake

whoever posted this answer is caorrect, but i'd like to add on what has already been said. Be sure to drain the cooling system of all the coolant. this can be done by removing the lower radiator hose. alos, whenver you work on the enigine, be sure to disconnect the negative battery cable, as this helps preent accidents whernver service is being done.

More than likely the Flasher Relay is bad. If the bulbs are lit but will not flash it is definitely the Relay. This can also indicate a bad bulb on one of the lights on the side that does not flash.

check the entire electrical system. Coil packs (i had one go bad on mine), the plate they mount to, spark plugs, plug wires, alternator, ground straps, everything.

The easiest solution is to take the bulbs out. If you don't want to do that then a switch in one of the doors may be faulty, or the switch that operates the light independently of the door switches may be permanently in the 'on' position. phil the swithces are trouble prone but cheap and easy i would replace all four they unscrew like a bolt then the wire pulls off they are a few dollars each

The battery is located in the back seat - you take out the back seat by pulling up from the floor - then lift out - the battery in on the passenger side.

Maybe your blinker realay is out.

Check the fuel level sensor. It's in the tank, attached to the fuel sending module. If you need to replace it, you'll have to drop the gas tank, carefully remove the retaining ring around the fuel sender, and pull the whole unit out. You can then remove the level sensor from it.

It is the oil pan located on bottom of engine. The dipstick has yellow handle on front of engine.

The oil filter location for the 2000 Buick LeSabre is on the front of the motor. Look just to the left of the fan belt near the left side of the motor.

The front wheel bearings are a sealed unit so repacking is not possible nor necessary.

Jack up car, block up car, remove tabk straps holding tank, drop tank down, loosen retaing ring at top of tank, pull fuel pump out of tank

I have a 2000 Lesabre and had the hardest time as well finding mine. I had to lay on my back under the front left corner (driver) and look through the access holes with a flishlight to see it. It's two small black horns mounted together just behind the front bumper. You have to take off the large black plastic underbody to access it or take it off. So there are about 15 of the black plastic pop clips but once you remove that you can see it no problem. Hope this helps.

It was a real trick finding the horn on my 2003 LeSabre. I finally found it in the left wheel well immediately in front of the left front tire. You will have to take off the tire to get at it with ease.

Loosen the hub nut in the center of the wheel. Then raise the car and take off the wheel. Finish taking off the hub nut. Take of the brake caliper and rotor. Remove the stabilizer bar from the lower arm. Seperate the lower ball joint from the steering knuckle. You may have to use a puller to push the cv axle out of the hub. Then jently pry the other end out of the transmission. That is how you take the halfshaft(aka cv axle)off. I don't know if your going to rebuild the joints or change the whole axle, but I just changed the whole axle on my 87 LeSabre. It just seemed alot easier.

Hey Chris==Pull up on the belt and you can see how the idler puller must move to release tension on the belt. The schematic for the belt should be on the fan shroud. If it isn't, draw a schematic before removing the old belt. Don't rely on memory. Goodluck Joe

A further suggestion. The belt tensioner uses a 1/2" breaker bar to de-tension the serpentine belt. I still had problems releasing the tension, so I used an 18" long, 1" (id) black iron pipe as an extension for my breaker bar. It makes a world of difference and one person can then de-tension the belt and remove or reinstall the belt over the alternator pulley.

It should be in the front of the engine as part of the front cover, it will have a 3 wire connector. Understand that if you remove, replace this part you will have to re-align it to the proper timing mark on the crankshaft dampner. TommyTrouble

Your air handler is working but the compressor outside isn't. The air handler is responsible for pumping the cooled air through the vents and into your house. It may be located in the attic, basement, or perhaps the garage. The compressor/heat exchanger is outside. If it is damaged or has sprung a refrigerant leak, it won't cool the air. Most AC units are on different electrical circuits than the air handler. Before you call the repair man, make sure the circuit breaker or fuse for the compressor hasn't tripped or blown. In most cases where the AC isn't cooling, the problem is with insufficient refrigerant.

In my 2000 LeSabre, it's under the back seat. Remove the rear seat and I'll bet it's there.
