We adore these dogs here in my family! My daughter and her family has two at presentand i have one. They are simply wonderful dogs! The 'look' ferocious, acomfort to me as I live alone and she will cause anyone to back up when she appears at the door. Totally wonderful with kids. Chowder, my daughter's male has 'protected' the two girls since the day they were born. And patiently endures their explorations of ALL his various body parts. :) They are basically quite docile and calm and aren't big barkers. But they will surely raise the alarm if needed. The one bad habit I can think of is that the male tends to be a digger. Not the females, but given lack of attention and too much time alone outdoors he will happily attempt to excavate the yard. They are all totally at ease with cats, I have two and daughter has three. They pay them no mind at all, allow them to curl up next to them for catnaps, appear indifirent if the cats get into their food. Oh.....one huge trait worth mentioning is weight! These dogs will run to fat no matter what you do! All are on very strict diets, get absolutely no human food, are regularly exercised and all are enormous! I asked the vet once why he never fussed at me over the weight, he replied that 'it's the breed and nothing you are doing or not doing'. I highly suggest these dogs.....but really investigate and make sure you are working with a reputable breeder!

Advertising for free English bulldogs could be posted on an online forum such as Craigslist, or other classified sites. Alternatively, ads could be posted on pages for rescue organizations, or through an English Bulldog club.
