A lot of heat is gonna build up when there is no air going through the radiator fins. This is one way that the cars vents some of this pressure. It is possible that it had too much coolant in it and the overflow tank filled up and pushed the rest out the overfrlow tube. It is normal for coolant to go back and forth between the overflow tank and the radiator. Just keep an eye on it and if it is not over heating then I wouldn't worry about it. Good luck.

Clean out your Throttle body and it will quit. Get some good carb cleaner spray, spray in the t- body and stick your fingers in there with a good rag and wipe out the carbon that is built up inside it. Let someone press down the accelerator to open the t-body up while you are cleaning it. The start the car and spray some in the t-body while it is running and stop using cheap gas.

On a 4.9L follow the upper radiator back to the engine. This should be the thermostat housing. The thermostat should be inside. On a 4.6L the thermostate is in the housing which is near the water pump drivebelts "on the coolant crossover housing". If this is not clean I recommend you buy the Haynes for your DeVille. yes they are very good subs, i just got a pair of 10" lsw107 and they pound hard core. they do draw a ton of current so make sure your fuses are at least 30 to 40 and a apline v12 amp runs great on them. i am ruing 300 watts in each speaker and i cant keep any of my mirrors straight and all my change keeps bouncing out of the holders. you will come across some bad reviews on them only cause they are a new brand and the people that are trying them are not running the right amps on them. if you want to aske me more questions about the subs just email me at will.c.newell@gmail.com

How do you charge the battery in a Cadillac Deville 2001?
The Best and safest way to charge your battery is to jump start the car and let the engine charge the battery. If this is not possible, the following should be useful.

How to charge the battery in a 2001 Cadillac DeVille;
1) Start with the ignition off and key out (for the entire charging operation).
2) Open both rear doors (ventilation), remove the rear seat bottom by pulling up on the front edge.
3) Check that the Battery cable bolts are tight and the battery is not leaking.
4) With the charger off and unplugged:
5) Connect the + (usually red) battery charger clamp to the + terminal (bolt) of the Battery.
6)connect the - (usually black) battery charger clamp to a bare metal bolt as far away from the battery and other electronics as possible (I use the seat belt stud).
7) Plug in and/or turn on the battery charger. Check the gage on the charger, if it reads 0 you have a bad connection (or Battery) check your connections and try again.
8) Do not let the battery charge at 15 or more amps for longer than 10 min. it will die. Check the battery every 30 min, if the battery is too hot to touch stop charging and let it cool.
9) Battery chargers vary in the way they say that the battery is charged so I won't be able to tell you how yours works, but when charging is complete, unplug the charger and disconnect its wires from the battery. Replace the back seat bottom and you are done!

How do you replace the hood ornament?
After you buy the new ornament, to take the old one out, get a small Phillips head screwdriver and a big, soft rag. Basically, you just use the rag to keep from scratching the paint on the hood as you work the screwdriver (may be easier with two) underneath the ornament, and slowly work it up enough that it just pops right out.
The ornament has two posts at the 3 and 9 o'clock position. Work evenly at these two points. An alternative to the screwdriver and rag are silicon tools that won't scratch the paint. These can be purchased on BavAuto.com

Why don't 1995 Cadillac Deville spark plugs wont ignite?
It could be many things that cause no spark.When Mine didnt have spark it was the module located in the bottom of the distributer. You will have to remove the distributer and take it apart to access the module as it is in the bottom. Mine was oil soaked. I tried the easy stuff first like the coil and rotor but the culprit eas in the very bottom of the distributor and cant be seen without R&R of the distributor part cost was about $40-50 bucks

Dont forget to mark the distributor to get it back into the engine properly.
Put a couples cratches on the block and dist housing for alingment and take note which way the rotor is pointing.

I also adjusted my distributor, retarded it, so my car would run on regular gas instead of Premium without knock. You loose a little pep but it has so much power you dont even notice it after a couple weeks and it passed Mass. emissions with flying colors.
