what is matchmoving ?

matchmoving is nothing more than figering out what the real world camera did while filming the footage, and it does that by producing a 3D camera matching the real one, which you can use in your 3D program and that process is called camera tracking.

So Camera Tracking gives you the ability to add CG objects that match the same position, rotation and prespective of your original footage.
