Shutter speed and aperture relationship?
Shutter speed is the amount of time that the camera's shutter (which lets the light coming in through the lens onto the film/chip inside the camera) is open. Aperture is the size of the opening inside that lets the light in. Both affect the amount of light entering the camera to result in an exposure - the longer the shutter is open and the wider the aperture, the more light that is coming in. Aperture also affects the depth of field of the image, so a wide open aperture such as f/2.8 will let in a lot of light and have a shallow depth of field.
The first practical 35Mm still camera(as opposed to movie types) was the Ur-Leica designed by Oscar Barnack orignally in l9l3 it was on hold during the war(WWl) and WA snot offered commercially until about l923 or l924-=Germany in a severe mnetary crisis a the time. Leica pretty much controlled early 35-dom but it should be noted the traditonal Leica M-series very adpatable to press and candid if not clandestine photograpohy(the Fed camera was a SOVIET VERSIONOF THE LEICA II and was used and marked for service with the N.K.V.D. Leicas wee and are made by Ernst ZLeitz Ltd. of Wetzlar. The Fed was a Russian copy made by the Fed works in the Soviet Ukraine.

What does the diaphragm mean in photography?
The diaphragm, often called the "iris" diaphragm for its identical form and function to the iris in your eye, regulates the physical amount of light allowed to pass through a camera lens. Physically, the diaphragm or iris diaphragm is made up of overlapping thin opaque metal plates, usually six or eight, which can be adjusted to increase or decrease the diameter of the hole, called the stop, in the center of the lens. The diaphragm is often located at the optical center of the lens between sets of elements. On manual cameras there is usually a ring around the lens barrel marked in f/stops for adjustment of the diaphragm.
The iris (diaphragm) in your eye, working properly, automatically opens or closes in response to light level. When you are exposed to strong light the iris closes down (or "stops" down) to a smaller diameter, decreasing the light reaching your retina (equivalent to the film or sensor in your camera). In dim light, the iris opens up to admit more light. The diaphragm in your camera works the same way, and on modern cameras it's often equally automatic. You may never even notice it's working.
In a camera, the iris diaphragm and the shutter have to work together to control the total exposure. The iris diaphragm controls the amount of light, and the shutter controls the amount of light over time. Depending on the make and model of the camera, shutter and diaphragm may be manual, automatic or both. The diaphragm is the mechanism that varies the size of the aperture; the opening that allows light into the camera.

LED and fluorescent lights are good ones to buy for basic studio lighting. Tungsten is a harder light, but also excellent, depending on what you are going for.
Another thing that you can do is put a white cloth in front of the light to diffuse it a little more, depending on the effect you are going for. (Not too close... you don't want to start a fire with the bright bulbs.)
Another option would be to purchase a filter or lens to add on to the existing camera. This may be an inexpensive way to control the lighting dependent on the filter you choose. These can be used to help manipulate colors to give you different choices in the same setting.
Finally, instead of using lighting lamps, you also have the ability to transform lighting via a photoshop editing software. These programs give you the ability to transform the scene any way you desire.

A good answer, but to extend this, additional 'good' (read 'powerful') lamps lighting is often used because natural lighting is too 'soft'. Soft lighting is diffuse, which means it make soft, gradual shadows with no strong edges. Powerful lamps will create stronger, harder edges by being far stronger than the light reflecting around the room, this allows for very dramatic and powerful photography.

Photographers who are paid for their work, or compose or record images for future profit have their work protected by copyright law. If you hire one to photo or video an event, the professional is the owner of the images. Depending on the deal you have, you will get a certain amount of proofs or images or video files of the event. Any extra copies have to be paid for. For example: you purchase a package that includes photos and a video of your wedding. Only the copies the photographer provides are legal copies. If you start burning extra copies of the wedding video, it is a copyright violation, just like any other video.
In the business of creating photography, video, art and prose, among other creations of artistic nature, copyright is implied and automatic. The artist or craftsman is entitled to make money off the creation and not have it wholesaled, unless that was part of the deal. That has to be in writing. A photographer will sometimes sell the rights to a photo or an event like a wedding. To insure your rights, you must get a document from the photographer granting you ownership of the material. All transferred copyrights need documentation.
On the other hand the use of your image if it is recognizable in a photograph or video cannot be used for commercial purposes without your permission. In this case the photographer has to get your permission in the form of a document called a "release". You can and should be compensated for such use of your image.
In between are many areas that are uncertain and usually unimportant or in some cases exempt. For example if you are in the background of a video or photograph, and are not the subject of the work, it does not count as something that needs to compensated. If you are in a photo or video that is newsworthy, like a protest or meeting that is covered by media, that is also exempt. If you notice you are being recorded in such an event, you must personally notify the photo/videographer if you desire not to be recognized in the image. This must also be in writing.

How would you get an image onto a computer using a digital camera?
It differs from camera to camera, but using a USB cable and the software provided, it's fairly easy. The manual that came with the camera should have the instructions, but if you don't have it, go to the manufacturer's website and look for the manual for your make of camera there. You should also have a USB cable that goes with the camera if you wish to install it. You will need a driver for the camera, and that usually comes on a CD with the camera. Again, if you don't have this, look at the support section of the manufacturer's website for a driver for your camera model. If you have the CD or have downloaded the driver, I suggest you follow the instructions in the manual. However, if you cannot obtain the manual, plug in your camera to the USB port and turn the camera on. In XP or Vista, the found new hardware wizard will come up and it will look on the CD for the driver, or you can specify the location of the downloaded driver. The wizard will install it properly and you can start using it. The device should turn up in video capturing applications such as Windows Movie Maker.
Alternatively, if you have a DV port on your camera, a DV port on your computer, and a DV cable, you can capture video without installing it. All you need is a DV driver installed on your PC.

I think around 1850-1855 photography was fairly widespread and commonly accepted. The oldest family pictures I have are from 1850-1852 and were taken in southern Indiana in an outdoor studio. They are beautiful in their simplicity.

I was looking at some the other day myself. Sony makes some nice ones, and so does Canon. Of course for true movie quality, Panavision is the way to go. But with the price of a Panavision there's no way. So, to answer your question, if you shop smart and use eBay or find a good deal somewhere, you can spend anywhere from $3500-$8000 for a good camera. Digital is the best way to go now days, it allows for more options in your post editing which is really important. You want to make sure you get one that can do HD format for that newer looking movie, or if you want an older style looking film, then find an older cheaper camera. Make sure for HD is will do full 1080i resolution. Hope this helps.

How do you delete videos on iPod with camera?
I had this same problem, but it is actually a lot simpler than it seems.
1.)Plug your ipod in to your computer and open up itunes, you should see your ipods name on the left
2.)Click your ipods name, and you should see your ipods info, the version, options and a bar at the bottom that tells you what is in your ipod, and the capacity it has left.
3.)Under "options" there should be 5 check boxes that says different things
4.)make sure "manually manage music and videos" is checked
5.)drag and drop videos to your ipods name
6.)disconnect ipod and go to "videos" (on your ipod) then click "settings"
7.)make sure "TV out" is off
8.)enjoy your videos :)
