Are there any overt differences in the dating customs of Canada versus the US?

I think in some cases that the U.S. is a little more laid-back about a lot of things (especially the young people) but sex is sex and there really isn't any difference regarding meeting someone, dating, etc. Teens are teens and more and more the American influence is hitting Canada.

Who was governor general in Canada in 1983?

Pierre Elliott Trudeau was the Prime Minister of Canada in 1983.

Trudeau was completing his second stint as the 15th Prime Minister of Canada which lasted from 1980 March 3 to 1984 June 30. He was also previously Prime Minister from 1968 April 20 to 1979 June 4.

What is the population of Canada 2015?

Around 80-90 million people. In the late 1990's into 2000's Canada's population grew at about 400-500 thousand people per year disproving international estimates which overstated the nation's population problem; that's faster than it grew decades earlier when the median age was a lot lower. Because of its aging population, by 2040 immigration will be the primary source of population growth, and there will be lots of that with countries in Africa and Asia (specifically India and Indonesia) growing exponentially coupled with the attractiveness of Canada's large land base (lots of resources creating lots of jobs and opportunities). Check back at estimates from 1995 for Canada's population by 2010, like in the BRIC report made by Goldman Sachs, Canada's performance was severely understated.

Canada has one of the largest East Indian and Chinese diaspora populations meaning it's been an attractive destination for countries with large and growing populations. Its ability to attract young immigrants is one of the reasons is estimated that its population will grow by at least 10-20 million by 2050 when other European countries with high median ages (Spain, France, UK) are expected to have fewer people than they did a decade ago.

Is the inukshuk a Canadian symbol?

Inukshuk pronounced (in-ook-shook), is a stone monument erected in the image of humans. One of their purposes was to serve as direction markers in the harsh and desolate Arctic. They were a tool of survival and a symbol of unselfish acts of the Inuit people. The Inukshuk symbolizes co-operation, balance and unselfishness; the idea that teaching and group effort is greater than individual effort. Each stone is a separate entity, yet each supports, and is supported by the one above and the one below it. No one piece is any more or any less important than the other. It's strength lies in it's unity. Its significance comes from its meaning as a whole. The Inukshuk reminds us of our interdependent responsibilities to invest our efforts today, to direct a better way for all of us tomorrow.

What type of land was Southeastern Canada when the Micmac lived?

The Mi'kmaq peoples were not agrarian. Climate on the upper east coast was too unreliable for farming. The Mi'kmaq were hunter-gatherers. Skilled at hunting moose and small game, fishing for eel and sea mammals they moved with the seasons. This is called "semi-nomadic" in that they routinely moved between summer fishing villages near the coast to the winter camps inland. The single-family winter hunting camps were scattered, but during the spring and summer, Mi'kmaq families joined other families to form a sort of village. Families would travel the same areas for a few years, until their natural knowledge of the land told them that resources were becoming less abundant. At which point they would seek another area, to allow the land they had been using to recover. By spreading out the impact in this way, no one area became seriously depleted of resources. Following the seasons they would fish eel and collect maple sap in the spring, hunt the sea waters during summer, gather blueberries and apples in the fall and hunt large and small game during the winter.
