WAS LOCATED AT 1520 WEST MONTANA,CHICIGO ILLINOIS.I BELIEVE THAT IT WAS IN BUSINESS FROM 1906 UNTIL THE 1960`S OR EARLY 70`S.THEY MADE ELECTION PINS ALSO SPOONS FOR THE CENTURY OF PROGRESS, PROBABLY OTHER ITEMS ALSO,BUT THEY WERE A METAL STAMPING COMPANY SO I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT THEY MADE VARNISH.

The company was also involved in the manufacture of some the early Illinois vehicle tags and license plates.

GREEN DUCK RE-LOCATED FROM CHICAGO TO HERNANDO, MISSISSIPPI IN 1962 AND FINALLY CLOSED IN 2004. THEY MADE ELECTION BUTTONS, THE METAL CRICKETS (USED AT D-DAY FOR SIGNALING AND ALSO USED FOR DOLPHIN TRAINING AT SEA WORLD), & MARDI GRAS DUBLOONS. IN 1983, THEY BEGAN MAKING SLOT TOKENS FOR US CASINOS. IN 1996, GREEN DUCK WAS SOLD TO A BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND COMPANY AND SLOWLY WENT DOWN HILL. I WORKED THERE FROM 1982 UNTIL 1993 AND CAME AWAY WITH AN AMAZING COLLECTION OF ITEMS THEY MADE DURING THE LONG HISTORY.

I found a radiator plate for a 1914 willy-overland co. model 79 car and had The GreenDuck co. stamped on the back so they made these as well.....hope this helps!!

I have a watch fob with Abraham Lincoln on the face and Springfield Il. May 18, 1927 on the reverse. In very small print on front and back it is stamped The Greenduck co. Any idea if this has any collector value?

In the book Ghost Canoe, a 14 year old boy Nathan goes to Neah Bay with his mother while his father stays in Tatoosh. He meets Lighthouse George and they become good friends they go fishing together and deliever the mail together. Lighthouse George's wife (Rebecca) also becomes a good friend of Nathan's mother. Nathan meets Capitan Bim ( he was really loud). Nathan sees footprints in the shore of the water and a ship got crushed. Later he founds the ghost into the canoe. When Kane came Nathan didn't want Kane to know that he asked Dolla Bill for the Knives. He was just hoping that he wouldn't tell him. Bill and Kane went fishing. After they came Bill told Nathan that Kane was sorry about the knives that he couldn't sell them................

and so many other things happen you just need to read the book and find it out by yourself because you will really enjoy it.....

Oh and by the way Jack Kane was the killer and Dolla Bill died protectin Lighthouse George from Kane..
