How long do you have to starve yourself to see results?
You shouldn't starve yourself at all. If you are concerned with your weight then just eat healthier. Get a proper balance of the food groups. Another thing to do is to drink water with your meals instead of soda, tea, or juice. You should also make sure that you eat a good healthy breakfast in the morning because eating breakfast makes your metabolism speed up and burn more of the food that you eat during the rest of the day. Also you could run or walk everyday or do other excercises. There's plenty of healthy ways to lose weight without you having to starve yourself. Whenever your next monthly grocerey bill is viewed.
What are some cardio exercises for the arms?
Rowing, or swimming would be two exercises with aerobic benefits using the arms. But the major benefit of doing cardio isn't in the specific muscles that you're using, but the performance boost it brings to your lungs and heart.
Cardiovascular fitness is considered the most important aspect of physical fitness because?
Exercise is very important for the cardiovascular health. But the muscle building exercise may not be important for the cardiovascular health. You have to do some brisk activity like running for 100 meters, very fast. That will increase your heart rate to 180 to 160 per minute. Older age go for lower heart rate. You have to be breathless.
How do you make your butt smaller?
Well, there are many ways but the best I found is a combination:
1.- Find targeted workouts
2.- Eat a diet that stimulates muscle growth and "good fats" (Not all fat is bad, the body uses it for detoxing from pollution i.e., for protecting muscles and bones, keeping temperature, energy reserves, etc)
3.- Take some supplements stimulating body regeneration and build up
4.- Use mental imagery in your benefit. See in your mind the new shape you want.
This is the "budget girl" approach. Of course if you have money, go for some treatment already compounded and tested as i.e. Femimore. It has already the right supplements, the right diet and the right workouts, and it works. The down side is price but if can afford it, is the best solution.
The "budget girl" approach is also good but takes more time, filtering out the good from the bad, etc. But it works. Just stay away from miracle pills and useless e-books, those proliferate but I am still to see something valid.
There are many Plastic Surgery Procedures such as Buttock Lift, Buttock Implants, Buttock Augmentation and Buttock Enhancement that can help you to get your butt bigger and beautiful.
You can't. Go to a foundations department section of a store or to a foundations store and get the foundation with padding for that part of the body.Exercising by doing leg presses and squats will make your buttocks grow larger, as it will stretch out the muscles.
How long does it take to lose cardio fitness?
my cross country coach at school says that you should never go without running for more then two days because you will get out of shape and lose what you have already gotten. He says at the most you should only rest about two days, unless you are going to take a big rest.
You need to study why and how the body works. There are factors such as intake- or what kind of intake, exercise-what kind. ETC. Nutrition and exercise are the keys. First of all, your Body Mass Index is 21.3, which is perfectly healthy. 18.5 or lower is underweight and 25-29.9 is overweight and 30 or above is obese. Second, it doesn't matter how much you weigh what matters is your body fat percentage which you can usually have calculated at a local gym, considering your age talk to a parent about getting this done, there are also ways to do it at home but you'll have to order the measuring tools online usually. Third, it is not recommended for boys or girls under the age of 15 to do weight training because your bodies aren't developed enough to handle the strain, supposedly, I started working out after someone at school made a comment. I have been working out since I was 14. The only way to lose fat in one specific area is to lose fat all over which can be done with a good aerobic workout. Workouts should last between 20 -30 minutes and can include, running, walking, jumping rope, swimming, anything that gets your heart rate up and you enjoy. A good way to stay in shape, especially at your age is to join a sport at school. I loved soccer and swimming. It was a great way to make friends, boost my confidence and best of all it kept me in great shape. Make sure you are eating right too. You should be eating 5 or 6 small meals a day. For example: Breakfast might be A bowl of oatmeal with an apple and a glass of milk, have a small meal 2-3 hours later, maybe an apple and some string cheese, lunch should be 2-3 hours after this and should include a portion of lean protein like chicken or fish as many vegetables as you want and some sort of carb, like a roll. Have another snack in a couple of hours, I like 1 cup of cottage cheese with some sort of fruit yogurt. Dinner should be similar to lunch and you can always have dessert. The most important thing is portion size. One portion of meat is usually about the size of your fist. Well this answer is getting kind of long, so the most important thing is how much you weigh shouldn't affect how you feel about your image. I wish I would have worried about it less when I was your age, there were so many other more fun things I could be doing like swimming, shopping, playing with my friends... Weight shouldn't rule your life at any age, so long as you eat right and stay active you don't have to woory about manageing your weight 24/7 and you'll have a lot more time to have fun and do the things you really love. If your really want to pursue the weight thing, I would suggest talking to your parents or a friend's parent, maybe even your gym teacher about your concerns, let them know that they are real concerns and you would like some help researching. My favorite book was Bill Phillips' Body for life, plus it's something your parents can get in on if they want to. Hope this helped.

Is working out on an elliptical machine a good source of a cardio workout?
I just graduated from college with a bachelors in physical education so I have taken many a classes on exercise and excerise physiology. Here is the thing about cardio workouts just like strength or endurance training workouts there needs to be a variety. Sure 20 minutes in the morning four days a week is better than sitting on a couch watching Dr. Phil (unless he has an interesting topic on). Do not just do the elliptical and think you are set. By all means get some friends together and run at night or go to the local YMCA and swim or take an aerobics class at the nearest gym. All I am saying is treat exercise like food, mix it up you will find that you work different muscles some you didn't even know you had. For the last piece of advice I would take most of the weekends off from exercising and just enjoy them by looking great with the new bod.

In addition, I highly recommend the following books: Protein Power, and The Protein Power Lifeplan, by Michael R. Eades, M.D., and Mary Dan Eades, M.D., and The X Factor Diet by Leslie Kenton. (If you wish to read those books but do not want to buy them, you can borrow copies from your local library, or buy inexpensive used copies on eBay.)
As a precaution, always consult with your personal physician before changing your dietary or exercise habits.

What are some good cardio machines ?
There is no one cardio machine that works better for everyone. We are all individuals with unique bodies and different preferences. The trick is to find a machine that works best for you. The way to do that is to test different machines. Many health clubs have inexpensive trial memberships for an introductory period of from 30 to 90 days. You could join one temporarily and use your workouts there to test different machines. When you find one that suits you well, you could either continue your membership to use it there or purchase one for use at home.
Why do stretching exercises increase flexibility more than cardio exercises?
Stretching exercises increase flexibility more than cardiovascular exercises do for quite a few reasons. Flexibility is the ability to bend so if an area can be stretched out it is more likely able to increase the ability to bend.
What is the minimum number of days recommended for improving your cardiovascular fitness?
It doesn't take all day in the gym. "Substantial health benefits" can be obtained from moderate-intensity exercise like walking 30 minutes for five days a week, coupled with two or more days a week of strength training, according to Centers for Disease Control recommendations. That's 210 minutes - or only about 2 percent of your total week. These, of course, are minimal standards for those who are just beginning an exercise program or for those who are deconditioned. .
