What is the cost to get a cat flea dipped?

Why would you desire to dip a cat into fleas?

Ok.. it had to be said, and I am so sorry!

That would depend. We dip our own animals so it costs about $6.00 .

If you go to a vet around Wisconsin, I would say they average $25 to $50 dollars.

Dipping yourself is easy and better as you can do so several times in a two week period to remove anything that hatches also.

Why do cats have a flap?

Because then they can come and go as they please. Most cats love being outdors and catflaps are a convenient way of them getting out or in without their owners having to open the door.

What is the opposite of catnip?

If you are talking about the Hunger Games character Katniss, her opposite (who calls her Katnip) would be Gale... Later on it becomes Peeta.

However, if you are just talking about catnip as a product, no real opposite exists. Since catnip gives your cat a kind of "high" feeling, a cat valium would be the most likely choice for an opposite answer.

Is catnip smokeable?

Pretty much any and every plant is smokeable. But smoking catnip will have no psychoactive effects. Meaning, it's not going to get you high. It's like smoking tea leaves: pointless, yet popular among little kids who want to experiment with drugs but don't know how to get any.

How is cat food made?

Depends on the food.

Dry Food: First, the dry ingredients are mixed and ground down together to make a course flour. Then the dry ingredients are mixed with the wet ingredients which includes animal fat, meat, water and pressurized steam. The hot water and steam begins the cooking process and the fats help the mixture to become a dough.

The dough is fed through a machine called an Extruder. The dough is fed through small tubes (that are also pressurized and heated so the ingredients cook further) and the dough is fed out the other end and cut into kibble pieces.

Next the kibble is thrown into "dyers" where the kibble is dried and becomes hardened. Synthetically-formulated nutrients are now sprayed on (the extreme cooking temperature kill all naturally occurring nutrients), along with flavour enhancers in the form of liquids or powders. The kibble is then dried again and then put into bags to be shipped off to distributors.

Wet Food: Fresh meat is shipped to pet food manufacturers, and all the ingredients are mixed and coursely ground for the desired texture. The meat is then cooked.

When the food is in the cans, the cans are sterilised by passing them through a heating chamber. The cans are heated to about 250°F (121°C) for 80 minutes (human food such as baked beans are also cooked and sterilised in the same manner). Finally the cans are cooled, dried, labelled and shipped off.

Will flea collar and medication get rid of fleas if cat already has them?

Yes - the medication impregnated in the flea collar is designed to kill off any existing infestation - and deter fleas from landing on the animal in future.

Is cat litter flammable?

No. It's an urban myth. Anything will burn if subjected to high enough temperatures, but don't leave the kindling at home and take this instead the next time you go camping.

Your cat wont use the cat flap even though ive tryed and tryed and tryed to get her through - how can you get her to use it?

If there's nothing on the other side of the flap she wants, she's not going to use it. You might try propping the flap open and she if she will go through the hole. Let her get use to that first.

Hahahaha boy what a dilly question! Catnip being a drug for cats is just a funny joke they make in movies and books! They do it for laughter but still don't feed your cat too much catnip you don't want it to Fay do you?

Can my chihuahua get sick if she eats cat food?

No. In fact, many dogs could easily live on many cat foods. In some ways, cat foods are more ideal, as they will sometimes contain higher protein content and lower carbohydrate content than many dog foods. There may be some GI upset, of course, if your dog has a sensitive stomach, is not used to variety, or if the fat content in the cat food is far higher, for example. But this is common, and to be expected when suddenly eating a new food.

Both dogs and cats thrive on a high protein diet that is based on quality animal meats and organs, and both suffer health problems due to a large amount of artificial colors, preservatives, flavors, and vitamin/mineral premixes in their diets, as well as a huge overload of poor quality ingredients, and far too high of carbohydrate. The more of these things you can remove from your dog's diet, the healthier they will be.

Now, if your question had been reversed, and you had asked if the cat should be eating dog food - the answer is, not really. Again, there is nothing that will really harm the cat, but most dog foods are not formulated to have high enough levels of taurine, arginine, and pre-formed Vitamin A to sustain a cat. Dog foods also tend to have higher amounts of Carbohydrates, and too low of protein (even for the dogs). So, it's actually just fine for your cat and your chihuahua to occasionally swap foods. But your dog would likely be better off on the cat food, and the cat should not eat the dog food for extended periods of time.

Please feel free to reach out with additional questions, or for clarifications or citations on anything I've stated.

By the way, it is incredibly unlikely you will accidentally feed your dog "too much" protein. High protein diets do absolutely no harm to healthy individual's kidneys, and, in fact, adequate levels of protein are required for the kidneys to function.

Have a nice day!

Why was innova flex canned cat food discontinued?

I have no idea. But this is the only can cat food my cat has eaten is years. Probably has something to do with P&G buying Natura Pet Company in 2010 the makers of Innova Flex.

Can you give your kitten purina cat food?

It depends on the age. If your cat is under 4 weeks, NO. A big fat NO. You can give a kitten purina kitten chow once it is weaned.

If the kitten is 4 weeks or under, it will need KMR. (Kitten milk replacer) It should be fed with a bottle intended for nursing kittens, NOT a baby bottle with a baby nipple.

Do cats need moist food?

YES! Good quality wet food is high in Protein and Fat, and because cats are strict carnivores, they use these two nutrients as their primary source of energy. Moisture is also a very important factor as cats are designed to get their moisture from their food (a trait that has been passed down from their wild ancestors), and therefore have a low "thirst drive" and will not often seek out water on their own. Dry foods, because of their very low water content, leaves a cat in an almost constant state of dehydration and that is what causes Urinary Tract Infections, Cystitis and such.

High quality wet does not smell, give a cat bad breath/gas, nor will it make a cat fat.

Dry food is not very good for your cat in the way of nutrition, and cats will often overeat because they are not getting all the nutrients they need. Dry foods and low-quality wet foods are often packed with carbohydrates - "filler" in the way of corns and grains, none of which cats can digest. Because kibble is baked at such high temperatures, all the "natural" nutrition is destroyed. Wet food isn't processed to such high levels as this, so most of the nutrition stays intact. Also, kibble pieces are hard, so they shatter on contact, meaning the kibble breaks at the tips of the teeth, if the cat even chews at all (most will crunch once or twice or swallow whole). This is like saying eating cookies or other hard, crunchy food keeps OUR teeth clean!

You could feed both, but dry food only really serves as a convenience to us, and provides very little for your cat. There *are* some decent dry foods out there such as Applaws with 80% Meat content in them and zero grains, but even that will never compare to the nutrition of canned food.
