check that all the doors are closed properly. its most likely the hood; make sure the hood lock (the bit of metal with the spring on it) is in the correct position ... it should be screwed into the hood not just sitting in the release above the bumper

First remove cover around gear shift pops right off and rotate 1/4 turn,next remove gear shift cover with small flathead screwdriver there are four tabs then rotate 1/4 turn.Next remove narrow plastic piece covering bulb.Remove clear plastic piece that surrounds bulb.Pull bulb out and replace very easy.No need to remove console use q-tips,tweezers,or superglue takes about 10 minutes

From the radiator reservoir located at the top driver side of the engine compartment, you fill it up with at 50/50 mixture of GM Dexacool Antifreeze and Distilled Water. Make sure that you use the stuff that says GM Dexacool or else the engine will not cool correctly. Trust me. I know from experience.

The OBDII (on board diagnostics 2) is located under the dash between the steering wheel bottom and the fire wall just above the brake pedal. A scan tool will let you know what that check engine light means. It is a great investment and will save you big $$$ instead of taking it to a mechanic. There are various places where parts for a 2007 Chevy Aveo can be found, try the local Chevrolet dealer who may sell the required parts, or even just a general auto parts store. An other option would be a car scrap dealer may have the parts.

Pinch in the sides of the glove box, pull down and out, and then remove the 4 screws that hold the horizontal metal brace or you won't be able to pull out filter. There is a vertical cover with a snap tab on it on the left side of bracket of the brace you removed.Snap the bottom tab loose, the top will slide out. The filter is behind that cover, just pull it out, it's like corrugated paper. I blew mine out with a air hose and sprayed Febreze on it before reinstalling. Next time I'll get a new one, about 10-15 bucks at this time.

1. disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2. take the lower rear seat out of the car.

3. take the inspection plate of the bottom of the panel.

4. disconnect the wiring and fuel lines.

5. take out the fasteners holding the fuel pump into the gas tank.

6. take the fuel pump assembly out of the gas tank.

7. replace the whole unit if you are not adept at mechanical things.

8. Pull the motor off the fuel pump assembly

9 replace the motor and the assembly and reverse these instructlions to put it back on.

fold down rear seats, with needle nose pliers gently popo off clips that hold in carpeted rear deck panel,with a 10mm ( iBelieve) socket remove child seat anchors and then pop up third brake light(remember to unplug it from inside the trunk or you will rip it out). The rear deck will lift up and forward quite easily and then you simply unscrew the speakers,unplug them from underneath in the trunk and change them. Tha speaker grill covers are actually screwed to the rear deck-some egineers brilliant idea I'm sure!

I just replaced the headlights on my friends '04 Chevy aveo hatchback.

1) Open Hood

2) Behind the headlights there is a large round rubber gasket surrounding the light and wiring, pull the tab at the bottom of this gasket until it starts to come loose from the headlight assembly.

3) Pull away the gasket as much as possible, exposing the rear of the lightbulb.

4) There is a single metal piece that loops around the back of the bulb and secures it in two places. On the left side (when looking down into the hood), you must press it in (towards yourself) and then press it away from you. This will unhinge that side and should allow it to pivot away, thereby un-securing the bulb.

5) Pull the bulb out and then pull it away from the wiring connection on the back. This was more difficult than it should have been.

6) Replace the bulb with the new one and repeat steps in reverse to secure.

The passenger side was a bit easier due to the fact that there was a bit more space available to maneuver. I was able to do it on the driver side without removing the battery.

Added: I just used this same method on a 2005 Suzuki Swift+; which I believe is also the same as the Pontiac Wave too. I had to do the drivers side, but there was no way I could have done it without taking out the battery.

I have a 2005 and it holds about 12 gallons.

There is no Freon in a 2007 vehicle. It uses R134a refrigerant. The resivoir is the entire system.

The hold light refers to the hold button on the shifter module. It means the transmission holds the lower gear revving up the rpms and won't shift to the higher gear. Seeing the light means the button has been engaged. Push it to turn it off

sedan model: from the trunk pull out the carpet retaining screws/plugs to access the tail light assembly mounting screws. pull them out, pull the tail light assembly out. from here you can replace any needed bulb.
