Answerturbo charge it Answerdon't dephile the car by putting a turbo on it all u gotta do is get some sorta forced induction, exaust system remove the cat's and put in high performance spark plug wires itll prolly cost you around 600$ and youll get 50-75 hp and of your worried about emissions just put some sort of "garanteed to pass emissions" fuel additive then run the tank almost dry then get highest actane fuel and run like 2 gals 93+ and some "jet fuel" in a bottleyou don't need all that all you need is the high performace coil pack the amplifier to it and cold air intake it's easier on your engine and won't cause a misfire as often as the others will I've worked on mine since the day i got it off the line
REPLY I went with a KN filter system and helix throttle body spacer and noticed a big gain. and have had no problems at all. You will have to cut off 2 inches of black plastic tube supplied by KN on throttle body side for everthing to fit purfect it did on my 2001. I have on order magnaflow exhaust and high flow catalytic converter and Royal Purple FLUIDS for the whole drivetrain Than I will order the new Hypertech engine programmer called I think MAX horsepower and should gain 65 to 75 horsepower in all and lots of torque HEADERS maybe but taking one step at a time incase of promblems. REPLY Im looking into upgrade for coil and plug wires also. total $1400 for everthing but headers if you shop well on the net Horsepower may even be more than 75 due to programmer will allow you to use high octane gas.I have 18x10s with BFGOODRICH g-force T/A tires 295X35-18 on back and if I can smoke them with the v6 I have done well

It is a very huge job. Release the fuel pressure. Raise back end of the vehicle and support with jackstands. Drop down the rear with a floor jack underneath the pumpkin. Remove the rear section of the exhaust system. Open fuel door and remove fuel filler screws. Remove the straps holding the gas tank. Find out where the fuel lines are connected and disconnect them. Take out the gas tank and then remove the fuel pump from the within the gas tank. There is a c clip holding it in place. Remove that clip by tapping it off with a flat head screwdiver and a hammer. Then put in the new fuel pump.
