There is a drain plug just below the lower radiator hose.

on front top deck of block, left side, by base of cyl head.

What year of Corvette? My '82 dash lights were very poor because they were only 2 candlepower bulbs. I put 3 candlepower bulbs in, and it made a noticable difference. But the higher candlepower (and hotter) bulbs will shorten the lifespan of the plastic sockets they fit into. I changed the 2's to the 3's about 20 years ago, and haven't had any problems to this date. But as I drive very little at night, I don't know what would happen if I drove a lot more at night. Maybe nothing.

Hi, What year corvette are you working on?? If its a C-3 there are a number of places to adjust depending on what the problem is. If you take the door panel off, you will see the two tracks that hold the window in place. At the top you will see 4 blots per track that will adjust most of the window. Negative! The vehicle was built with a pad protruding from the passenger side of the dash. This was part of a passive restraint system conceived when it was assumed that federal regulation would require such restraints. The Reagan Administration dropped the restraint proposals , but the pad remained. The steering column and intermediate steering shaft are made to collapse in the event of a crash.

Typically with GM vehicles, the paint code (or codes if your car has accent colors or the like) is on the build sticker which contains your VIN number and also all of the RPO codes which represent standard features and options your specific car was built with. This build sticker can possibly be located in many places including:

The glove box

The rear of the Middle Console

The top of drive shaft tunnel,

Under a rear storage compartment

Under the trunk lid

In my own experience with my 2002 Corvette, the paint code was in the glove box. I had to remove all of it's contents and it was there...

have you tried turning the ouside dial on headlight switch that dims the gages bright or dull

had a similar problem with 98 corvette no dash lights or hvac or running lights turned out to be multi function switch (headlights turnsignals)

You can go to Crutchfield and they will send you the intricate details for this job. It is a pain. The heater has to be removed and the dash, it is difficult and time consuming.

with engine off and in park of course , no power needed , reach up behind parking light and pull down on hinge about center of light until it releases from locked position kind of like an elbow if you will , then best to let the light close by itself with engine vacuum.

Go to a parts store and buy a Haynes Manual.

You need to use the Chiltons Book for Corvette 1963 to 1983. It has the most complete information for your tune up needs. The book also contains information on the interpreting serial numbers. A great how to guide for the corvette lover.

not too sure, but if it's like the others, it's wired into the ignition cylinder. Does your key have the little resistor chip in it? (you can't miss it) If so,then there ya go.

A faulty belt tensioner and/or a worn belt. A run down battery could add to it.

My TaoTao 110cc ATV holds 455ml or ~15.5oz of oil (almost a half quart). Be sure to drain the oil the unit is shipped with and replace with some good fully synthetic ATV oil.

a prom code is a id number stamped on a prom chip to identify the make and model the chip is for and also what commands and parameters are burned into the chip prom stands for (program read only memory) it tells the car when to shift what fuel mixture to use,when the cooling fans turn on,speed top limit and so on, the prom chip plugs into the cars pcm and controls input output parameters.
