How do you adjust Door window on a 2001 corvette?
Window Adjustment 101 ---- Door Window Height Adjustment (Major)
Door Window Height Adjustment (Minor)
Door Window Tip-In Adjustment
Baseline Setting
Remove door panel & water deflector.
Remove door speaker assembly.
Remove window door clamp sight access plugs.
Position window to access clamp nuts.
Disconnect window switch.
Loosen window clamp nuts through door top opening.
Regulator in full UP position.
Loosely tighten rear window clamp nut.
With helper, position window to door opening.
Tighten window clamps to 89 lb/in.
Open door and install window clamp access plugs.
Install speaker, water deflector, door panel.
Perform minor height and tip-in adjustments as necessary:
Window fully UP.
Remove large access plug (under front of door).
Loosen window regulator front channel mounting nut.
Remove reflector from door panel.
Loosen jack screw jam nut.
Adjust tip-in with jack screw (clockwise = outward).
Tighten jack screw jam nut.
Lower window.
Tighten window regulator front channel mounting nut.
Raise window, check alignment.
Reinstall access plug & reflector.
Door Window Height Adjustment (Minor)
If window height is off less than 3mm. (0.12").
Open door and remove both small access plugs (under door).
Loosen regulator jack screw jam nuts (both).
Adjust both jack screws equally.
Close the door and check alignment.
Reinstall access plugs.

Why is there Jerky steering 1984 Corvette?
The intermediate steering shafts in 1984 Corvettes are notorious for wearing out and causing slippage as you make turns. The shaft is constructed of two pieces mated together with a spline. The spline wears out and slips.
GM no longer sells these shafts so you have to get it repaired or find a re-built one. Nylon or metal bushings are inserted around drift pins where the two sections of the shaft are joined together.

If you take the door panel off, you will see the two tracks that hold the window in place. At the top you will see 4 blots per track that will adjust most of the window. What year of Corvette? My '82 dash lights were very poor because they were only 2 candlepower bulbs. I put 3 candlepower bulbs in, and it made a noticable difference. But the higher candlepower (and hotter) bulbs will shorten the lifespan of the plastic sockets they fit into. I changed the 2's to the 3's about 20 years ago, and haven't had any problems to this date. But as I drive very little at night, I don't know what would happen if I drove a lot more at night. Maybe nothing.
