How do you remove seat bucket from 1979 corvette?

there are bolts through the seat tracks both front and back. Move the seat back to access the front bolts and back to access the front. You should be able to use a 3/8 ratchet and extension -- I think the bolt size is either half inch or 9/16. Once you have the seat assembly out of the car it's pretty much self explanatory. The cushions are held in by a simple retainer and snap out fairly easily. If you are replacing the hard (bucket) part you'll need to take the three screws out of the hinges on each side to get the top part off. This is a fairly easy procedure -- just becareful with the hardware. Good luck! Jack

1992 corvette runs and idles very rough I get a code 72 VSS Does that have anything to do with the rough running or what might it be?

Code 72- VSS signal circuit error. Check the VSS and circuit for short to ground or open circuit, a bare wire can cause an intermittent problem. Verify this first. Also check the VSS to make sure no excessive material has built up on the magnetic end, such material from the transmission wearing over a period of time cause deposit fine shavings on sensor head interfering with sensor operation. Wipe clean with paper (not cloth) towel to remove material and reinstall. A newly rebuilt transmission can deposit these quick enough as the transmission is "breaking in". If all else checks out, replace sensor.

How do you change the oil pressure sensor on a 1999 Corvette and where is located?

AnswerIt's on the top of the intake, but it is tucked up underneath the dash. The intake has to come off. I took mine (2000 Corvette) to the dealer for this.

I have a 2001 and I have had to replace the sensor 3 times in the last 2 years. If you have a mechanic with reasonably small hands there is no need to remove the intake. My Intake has never been off.

Where is the VIN located on a 1959 Chevy Corvette?

check on the drivers side door, that's where its located on my 77 Ford Pickup
