This is incorrect. I put a set of rally wheels from a C3 vette on a 1996 Chevy S-10 and they fit fine. I also did the opposite. Put S-10 wheels and tires on my C3 vette. Chevy did not change the bolt pattern on the vette, firebird and camaro from 1968 on. The bolt pattern is 5X120.7. The only difference is the back spacing. THX

There are 2 bolts under the louvered part of the fender. You have to remove those 2 bolts to remove that small part of the fender then the battery slides out. Yes you have to remove the bolts but you also have to loosen off the torx screws in the wheel well. On my 85 'Vette, there is one 10MM bolt on the top which must be removed, also one below in the crack which only needs loosening, the fender is slotted there. Yes the 3 torx in wheel well come out and the whole thing slides out towards you.
