Curb weight is roughly 3541 lbs., depending on options.

How do you adjust the idle on 1984 Corvette?

the 84 uses an idle air control valve to control idle speed. this is a function done by the computer. if the idle is too low when cold but runs ok when hot, or ok when cold but then too high when hot, then chances are your idle air control valve is bad. if the idle is high all the time, you probably have your pcv valve vacuum line disconnected. if your brakes seem very hard to push as well, then it's probably your brake booster vacuum line. if neither of those, look for other vacuum hoses that may be disconnected. there is no user adjustable idle speed control for that car.

how much did a Chevy corvette cost in 1963?

2005 corvette will not open. There is no valet key to get in to trunk. Battery is dead How do I get in?

There should be a regular key that comes with the car. Get down on your knees at the rear of the car by the licence plate and look up just above the plate. There is a little key hole there, put the key in and it will pop the trunk. Then on the drivers side there is a cable, pull that and the driver side door will open. Pop the hood and charge the battery and you are back in business.

If you can't find that key the only other way is there is a little leveron the floor with a little red picture showing a door open. There is one on each side, a locksmith guy can pry your window open enough to get a wire in and then open the door. If you got the key that is the easy way.

What is a 25th anaversery Corvette worth?

About as much as any other '78. Unless you find somebody you can convince the car is something particularly special. You know? Meh.

What is the timing for a 74 Corvette?

It will vary depending on the specs for the engine. But, if it's a small block you'll probably be all right with something like 10 or 12 BTDC on the 1974 cars. I know in later years they backed the factory timing down to 8 BTDC on some of the smog-era cars.

Where is the fuel filter located on a 1989 Corvette?

The fuel filter is along the inside of the frame rail just behind the right front tire. You will need to use a tubing wrench so the fuel line is not damaged when replacing it. Release the fuel line pressure on the fuel rail which is on the right side of the motor and just under the air plenum, it has a small cap that screws off and has a valve similar to a valve stem in a tire. You will spill a little gas when doing this so have some rags close. Jack the car up and use jack stands to secure the car when doing this. there is a small heat shield that protects the filter and requires a 10 milemeter wrench to remove the two bolts. Good luck!

On your '84 Corvette the ignition module keeps going bad is this common and what is causing this part to keep going bad?

ARE YOU CLEANING THE SPOT WHERE THE MODULE SITS AND USING THE DIELECTRIC gel for heat transfer, also using cheap modules (china)will do it,make sure your coil and the carbon center/spring and insulator are installed correctly also insulate both side of rubber insulator under coil.make sure the ground clip is under coil or it overworks coil/and module make sure your plugs are gaped right. also check voltage at battery with car running rev it up make sure voltage is not overcharging. also check inside dist for oil if oil is present replace with rebuilt. give a small tug on the green and white wires that go to pick up coil if it breaks easy replace. other then that they should not burn that often back in the day it was common but should get a least 2 years go for a original a/c delco part that insulating gel is the lifeline of how long the part will last.it also wouldnt hurt to replace the stock 195degree thermostat to a 180 as i said heat is the killer of electronics and this car runs better at 180 than 195

Where is the theft deterrent relay on 1995 Camaro?

It is not on the right side of the glove box, it is in the center of the dash, back by the firewall and is hard to get to, but can be done if you remove the lower panels, and reach in to the very back following the wires. You will find it in a pocket, with 7 wires going to it. Someone with small hands can reach it and lift it out of the pocket it sits in by lifting it carefully by the wires.

Keep in mind, this module is only for the timed window and stereo that will keep things going for like 10 minutes or until you open the door or put the key back in. It has nothing to do with ignition problems. Mine had the part number 12135089 on it and had 7 wires or connectors. I am still trying to figure out how to get my Camaro to start and stay running and am about to bypass the VATS system by installing a resistor to match my key.

One last thing. I found mine by turning the key to the start position and listening to the relay kicking in and out, but my car was not even turning over at this point.

This is also called the RAP system and working on this stuff can be very confusing. Keep looking for sites, as there is some good ones and bad ones.

A good one is http://shbox.com/1/pass_key.jpg that has very good schematics. I hope this is ok to post, if not, simply remove it.
