How do you replace the running lights on a 1999 corvette?
I just did it to mine. First, get the front of the car in the air on jack stands. Next, take off the tire on side you need to change. Then there is a place plastic about 14 by 6 or so, on the bottom of the car that is under the brake ducting. Take that off, it has either four or five 10mm head screws. Now you can reach in there to get to the light. There is a tab you have to push in before you can turn the light socket out. Once you do that your home free. Pull the bulb out of the socket and put a new in. Now the fun part, putting it back togather and getting everything to line up :)

Why would the heater blow hot air all the time on my 79 Corvette?
There is a valve which controls the flow of coolant to the heater core, which is a small radiator located inside the passenger compartment. If this valve is open, hot coolant will be pumped into the heater core, which will get hot and warm the air passing over it. If the lever or temperature selector in your vehicle does not control that valve, then the cable is broken, or the electrical control device is not working.
Why would the parking and interior lights stay on in a 1984 corvette?
The only thing in common between the parking and interior lights is that the switches for each are located on the Main Light Switch. The parking lights will come on if the switch is pulled out to either the first or second stop. (The second stop also being the headlamps ON position). The interior lamps are turned on when the Main Light Switch is turned fully counter-clockwise. It is possible that the switch is defective but it seems unlikely that a defective switch could cause both of these problems. The interior lights are also controlled by the Interior Lamp Delay Timerwhich is controlled by the Door Jamb Switches. These timer modules are prone to failure and can cause the interior lights to remain on at all times. Un-plugging the module is the best way to find out if it is defective or not. It is located on the Instrument Panel Wiring Harness which is accessable by removing the lower instrument panel just above the passenger's knees (the panel with the light) and reaching up with one hand to find the harness. It is a small black plastic box taped to the harness. Break the tape with your fingers and you can lower the box down just enough to unplug it. It will have a 5-pin connector with (1) black, (3) white, (1) pink/black & (1) pink/white wire. If you find the timer module to be the problem, you can connect all three of the white wires together and you will have working interior lights when you open the doors. However, the lights will shut off immediately when you close the doors but you will have lights and they won't be on at all times.

What does code P0410 mean on a 2001 corvette?
Insufficient EGR Flow:
EGR stands for Exhaust Gas Recirculation. It is part of the vehicle emissions system, and is used to reduce combustion temperature and pressure to control Oxides of Nitrogen. There are generally three parts to the EGR system: the EGR valve, an actuator solenoid, and a differential pressure sensor EGR (DPFE). These things work together to deliver the correct amount of recirculation based on engine temperature, load, etc. The P0401 code means that OBD detected an insufficient amount of EGR. You may notice drivability problems such as pinging (a.k.a. pre-ignition knock) when the engine is under load or the vehicle is at higher speeds. There may also be other symptoms. A code P0401 most likely means one or more of the following has happened: * The DPFE (differential pressure feedback EGR) sensor is faulty and needs to be replaced * There is a blockage in the EGR (tube), most likely carbon buildup * The EGR valve is faulty * The EGR valve may not be opening due to a lack of vaccuum In fixing this code, it is quite common for people to just replace the EGR valve only to have the OBD code return. The EGR valve is not always the culprit. * Use a vacuum pump and pull the EGR valve open while monitoring engine RPM's & DPFE voltage. There should be a noticable difference in RPM's with the EGR open * Clean out the EGR valve and/or tubing to remove deposits * Check the voltage at the DPFE, compare to specified values (refer to a repair manual for your specific model) * Replace the DPFE sensor (with a good quality / OEM one) * Replace the EGR valve

Where is the computer on a 1989 Corvette?
I think this is still the earlier L98 engine and not the more recent LT1 engine. If that is the case, the computer is above passenger knees, behind the bulky passenger side dash panel. On LT1, computer has been moved into engine compartment, above brake booster.
