The rotor seems frozen to the hub

I assume brake rotor Remove wheel Remove caliper mounting bolts Slide caliper off rotor Rotor should "peel off" hub It may not not "peel-off" type if not: 1) pry off dust cover (center of hub) 2) remove cotter pin 3) remove lock washer 4) remove nut 5) "wiggle" wheel so wheel bearings fall out 6) slide rotor off hub

Can you show me vacuum diagram for 1981 Nissan 280zx?

Nope, im looking for it also but for a Datsun 280ZX Nissan and Datsun are the same thing, however if you have the Chilton's Repair Manual for the NISSAN Z&ZX 1970-1988(which you should) I believe it's number 52800, you can find the vacuum diagram in section 4 page 26 That diagram is for a N/A 280ZX and only for the emmissions. I need a complete diagram for a 280ZX Turbo, 1981. I have the Automatic Climate Control and it is a California model. Can anyone help?

Did Ford Mustang sell more or Chevy Corvette?

Many more mustangs were sold mainly because they were much less expensive so a more average population could afford them. They also had a back seat so young mom's and dad's could add a little sport to their lives while still appearing responsible.

How do you change the thermostat on a 1981 Corvette?

First you have to remove the air filter housing. Start by removing the butterfly bolt holding the cap in place. Once that is removed, the only thing holding the air filter housing in place are the hoses and tubes attached to it. Make sure you note where each hose and tube was attached so you can put it back into place afterward.

With the air filter housing out of the way, you're looking straight into the carburetor. Incidentally, now may be a good time to replace the fuel filter located on the passenger side of the carburetor. The thermostat housing is located directly in front of the carburetor. The upper radiator hose connects to the engine by way of the thermostat housing. You'll find two bolts holding the housing in place. You just need to unbolt it from the engine and perhaps knock it free with a light hammering. Make sure you have either drained the coolant or you have some way to catch the coolant at this stage because it will be leaking.

Once the thermostat housing is lifted, all you need to do is grab the thermostat and lift it out. It may be slightly stuck but will just pull up. Make sure you scrape away the old gasket from the engine and from the thermostat housing. Replace with a new gasket and a new thermostat making sure it's oriented in the same as the one you pulled out. Place a small amount of grease on the new gasket to hold it in place and to form a better seal.

Now all you need to do is put everything back together and refill your engine coolant.

How do you change the brake light on a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe?

Open the hatch, there are 2 screws holding the entire light assembly on each side of the vehicle. Take the screws out and lift the assembly away from the car outwards, there is a post on the front end holding it onto the side of the car. Then just twist the brake light socket to the left and pull it out to get to the bulb.

Where is the thermostat in a 88 Corvette?

The thermostat is located inside of the water inlet on top or the engine. Remove the top radiator hose, then the inlet to get to it.

How fast does the corvette go from 0 to 60?

Depends on the year, engine, transmission, etc...

What is faster a Ford Mustang or a Chevy Corvette?

the Corvette no question. The Corvette is a sports car, while the Mustang is a sporty coupe. A better question would be Mustang vs Camaro, in which the Camaro wins. Conclusively, even the most suped up Mustang wouldn't be able to take on a stock 1989 corvette, with an exception of the best Shelby package, which would be a difference of 2007 vs 1989. There is just no competition, they are in two different leagues.

[EDIT]

it is obvious from the build of the Mustang, that it wasn't built to race. It is a far heavier car, and it's bulky build was clearly not designed for aerodynamics.

[EDIT]

To the guy up there ^^

Mustangs are built to drag race it's not an all-over super sports car but it has a decent weight decent hp and it looks good. Specially the 2005-2009 model / 2010 model

as he said the mustang gt has no way in winning against corvettes stock vs. stock

but with mild bolt-ons it can preform and might win against the C5

and it's a drivers race between the new mustangs with LS1 camaros/gto's

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Mustang#Racing

for more information about the racing part since he dissed it so much

PLUS; There is the mustang shelby gt500 it's a good competitor to corvettes C6/C6 zo6's

and the Mustang Super Snake is the Zr1 rival.

DUDE's

THE mustang is the better car out of the corvettes...to all you corvette lovers line up with the 2010 mustang and let me know what happens...i will let you know that the mustang will win in the race... especially in the drifting world the corvette cant drift worth s**t the mustang comes out on top all the time

Corvettes are way better than a cheap mustang. A corvette would beat any mustang no matter what. For all Mustangs lovers, just to let you know they aren't a true sports car. My dad's 08 vette would smoke any mustang and that's a fact!

What do you do if you cannot get the passenger door open on a 1977 Corvette but you can work both handles and it is not locked?

I have had this problem with both doors on my 77, but mostly on the drivers door. My problem is that a lever in the latch hangs and does not return to the reset position. The handle linkage can't trip the lever to release the latch. Have tried applying grease unsuccessfully and will replace the latch when I get annoyed enough. Until then, I carry a welding rod under the seat to push the lever down. This can be done with no disassembly, just roll down window and insert the rod at rear of window opening.

Try this on your non opening door.Just bought a 77 to add to the 3 Corvettes we already have. The passenger door wouldn't open with either handle and it wasn't locked. I had to get more visable access to the latch mechanism, which meant the door panel had to come off. Got it off with the window down and the door closed. It's easier taking the seat out too, but this seat wouldn't move back to getat the front bolts. Not an easy task taking the door panel off with the seat still in place, but it can be done without ruining anything. Next was fish around with a long screw driver at the latch mechanism that I could now see. Pushing on the correct lever and the door opened. Closed the door 2 more times and had to use the screw driver 2 more times pushing on the lever to open it. What I think happened was the factory grease turned hard in the past 29 years, add in some dust and dirt and now you have grease that turned to glue. The mechanism got a bath (2 cans of Gumout) followed with a bath in WD-40 to wash, then a few squirts of engine oil. It's now opening on it's own with either handle. No adjustments on the rods were necessary as nothing was bent. It actually worked now in probably 50 consecutive tries in the past 2 months with no problems. The drivers door mechanism got the same treatment to ward off future problems with it. This problem was new to me in my 30 years of Corvettin. What seems to be a major problem is actually a simple solution, keep things clean.

How much horsepower does a 1984 Corvette have?
